This is my first post on this forum.  I'm a former Panther from the old JUCO days and would just love to see a big win today.  Good luck Panthers!

how long ago?
I played tennis for Coach Skeens from 80-81 and raised some H3LL at everything else :-)

Captains win 13-10. Great game, lost of running, Tunde had 181.

Ironically enough, RMC is leading HSC late in the fourth and Catholic is losing/lost to Bridgewater. RMC could end up being the AQ out of the ODAC.

Final NCWC-35, GC-9

Good season for Bishops, could have been better, but still a good season.

Wow, great game. Hats off to Ferrum they played tough all game. Big congrats to CNU! CNU wins with a field goal that in normal conditions would have been good from 40 yards. The wind was blowing so hard that the ball stopped dead at its peak and inched over and appeared to hit the cross bar.

Looking ahead to the playoffs now. Losses to some top teams in region make CNU's bid for a home game more probable. #2 in region Muhlenburg lost,#5 Catholic loses and is out of the playoff picture #9 Huntingdon loses and sends UNRANKED LaGrange to the playoffs. Finally, #6 Hampden-Sydney lost and is also on the outside looking in causing UNRANKED Randolph Macon get is the automatic bid in a 4 way tie by virtue of head to head tie breaker!

Wow. I smell a CNU home game cooking.

Heres the regional rankings before today.
South Region
1.   Millsaps 8-0   9-0
2.   Muhlenberg   9-0   9-0
3.   Mary Hardin-Baylor   7-0   8-1
4.   Hardin-Simmons   9-1   9-1
5.   Catholic   7-1   8-1
6.   Hampden-Sydney   7-1   8-1

7.   Washington and Jefferson   7-1   8-1
8.   Wesley   3-1   7-1
9.   Huntingdon   7-1   8-1
10.   Christopher Newport   6-1   7-1

The teams in red lost and the teams with lines through them probably are done for the year with 2 in region losses. This puts CNU ranked #6 or #7 and with the Texas sub-bracket we have a good shot of playing at home.

After taking a good look at the playoff picture I think CNU's home game all hinges on how far the NCAA drops Muhlenberg. I tried a bunch of different ideas but after 30 minutes I have now gone cross-eyed. I'm just gonna have to wait this one out. The Pool C and B picture is really different from what it looked like yesterday. W&J might just get back in it. Huntingdon is done. Hampden Sydney and Catholic are done. What a crazy weekend.

My gut tells me a rematch. Well not rematch but I see CNU and Wesley in a "rescheduling" of the 1st game of the season. Sadly I see it being at Wesley.

Anyone else have a better perspective on this?

Well, I have to say hats off to CNU, but Ferrum should hold their heads high.  I tell you the term " a game of inches" took on a very real meaning....  Great Game
BEWARE THE BLACK HATS!

What a fantastic game. Ferrum can play....and they can hit. There are a few kids on both sides tha have bad headaches right now! Too bad Ferrum can't go to the playoffs. Congrats to them on a good season. I noticed Kelchner immediately after the game congratulating as many Panthers as he could. He even went to one kid who had given his all and was face down on the turf. Coach helped him up and shook his hand. Class act!!

Gotta go look at the stats. I think Ogun missed being d3 rushing champ by 1 yard (.10 for the season - something like that).

Hmmm.....home game next week?? I dunno. But if so, I need ideas to help me convince my wife that I should go to the game the day before our 23rd anniversary.

Remember the last time CNU had a cancelled game that wound up in a playoff "rematch"?
A good omen?

85, we played that one at home though.

I'm hoping for proximity to land us Randolph-Macon at home.
