Good win for methodist.  Finest, I have a little bit of respect and have some dialouge with some of the Monarch Players that I played against.   Finest if you have an issue with me besides your boastful chest beats then get up with me and we will settle.  But your right, I was hard nose and I would get after your ass. Still would.

Narch Ok as far as the CNU defense being exposed I am just going to put it out their if it is not apparent now. This is not your typical CNU defense from past years. 40 plus points to Salisbury, over 600 yards of total offense against Rowan, and 35 points put up against us in the first half against MC. Thats not CNU defensive football period. As far as looking at Methodist o line being underated I would say that they will be exposed when they play a good defensive team. Salisbury D is nowhere close to the one they had last season as well as CNU. If you beg to differ than look up last years CNU MC homecoming game. Besides the first drive of the game MC and the Rocket got bottled up. Don't get me miss understood, Narch, congrats to Methodist on a Great win for them and you. But all I am saying about the o line is that they benefit from having Rocket as a QB, they haven't played any good defensive teams yet, and their system doesn't allow Rocket to get sacked as often.

Ha Ha abrngr, I just feel that Mosh has no right to say anything about the Capts when we shut his mouth year after year and he had nothing to say when he was on the field with us.

Narch, I never asked or hoped for anyone to get hurt in a game. Was hoping for a shake up with the way the season has gone by letting some back ups show what they have, but no one ever asked, wish or hoped for someone to go down with an injury. I sure would like for you to show me I "wished" for someone to get hurt. For him to go down with a a broken collarbone is not what I or I hope anyone would hope for on anyone.

p.s. Narch, Im sure you did not mean for it to come across that I was wishing for Hoffman to get hurt. But the way it was written came across seemed like I have been cheering for him to go down and taken off the field after getting hurt.  To the Hoffman family. While I have been a big critic of Jon at times I always tried to give him the credit for what he did for the team leading the Hornets to the playoffs last year. While at times you may feel I was hard on him I want you to know all of us Hornet fans wish for him to recover fast.

Mosh thats really funny considering you would get mashed in a fist fight with me. :D Really do you think I would waste my time with a pathetic individual like yourself. I wouldn't allow you to come to VA and get pimped smacked back to NC just like your football team did every year. "If you got a problem get at me and we will settle this" HA HA. The fact that you were a sorry football player on a sorry football team must have really hurt. HA HA I guess I could wear my championship rings in the fight, punch you in the face a few times and put Dixie/USA South champs across your forehead. Then you could really get a taste of being a Dixie/USA South champ.

Narch, we'll do our best next week, and then we'll do our best you all.  It's so disappointing to see a team beat themselves against an inferior team like AU.  And any AU fan who was at the game tonight knows I'm right.

Man there is nothing better to end a night of bouncing around the ocean for ten hours than come home and read that the Monarchs got it done.  Does make me that much more angry that I couldn't get to the game.  Narch, sounds like Rocket was on fire today, is that a record for yardage in a game for MC?

jesse - sorry...never meant to imply that you wished hoffman hurt...i know that's not the case whatsoever

finest - very mature responses to mosh - it's good to see that your educational experience at cnu prepared you so well for life after football - mosh reached out to you in a mature way and you want to fight...cnufans must be really proud of the way current and former players rep their esteemed university

2 things...#1 - you're talking about LAST year, i'm talking about THIS year - the monarchs run an entirely different offensive system this year - much more down field/vertical passing out of the spread - the system still makes getting to rocket difficult, but yesterday the capts blitzed about 65% of the time and the o-line gave up 0 sacks and accounted for 480 yards of total offense - #2 - do o-lineman only pass pro? do you not give those boys some credit for what they do in the run game? last i checked that was an important part of what an offensive line did

papi -it was a record setting passing day - the 20-29 is more impressive, esp when you realize there were at least 2 dropped balls (hill dropped a screen pass that would have been HUGE and mularski dropped an inside screen that was set up nicely, too)

fayetteville observer game story - be sure to check out the photo slideshow - there are some pretty good pics, especially doleman's catch in traffic

So how about NCW, and Greensboro. I gather that GC is better than their record indicates, but dont see much about NCW. Where are their strengths and weaknesses?

Ferrum is in a great spot, 7-0 a week off, and 2 of their next 3 games at home....but they cannot look past anyone. I believe that all three of their opponents can beat them, but I guess that CNU will be the toughest game.

I know there are not alot of Ferrum fans on the board, and I really strive not to get controversial on the board, but I have to say I am excited about the Panthers!

Is it true that in a 3-way USA-South tie that the tie breaker is based on "point-differencial in conference"? If that is the case, lookout for piling up the points in these last three games. ;D

I think there was a 3 way tie in Texas a couple years ago and it seemed like the point differential against common opponents was the deciding factor. I can't imagine that they would actually flip a coin. If it is a coin toss how do you decide which teams go first (3 teams, 2 sides to the coin???)

Finest if you have an issue with me besides your boastful chest beats then get up with me and we will settle.  Yea Narch the respectful Mosh really sounded like he was asking to have a cup of tea and chat. I am not trying to take anything from the Monarch win or the Monarch o line. As far as them being underated I still don't see it. You answered all of my questions besides the fact that the monarchs have not played anyone with a dominant defense. You said it yourself CNU's defense was exposed, Ferrum is 7-0 with allowing more than 30 plus points a game, and the Gulls defense is not even close to being as good as they were last year. MC is a good offensive team but its hard to say that their o line is underated when they have not proved themselves against an elite defensive team yet thats all I am saying Narch. For example would you argue that Ferrum is a better team than Mount Union because they are still undefeated and because Mount is not. No the first thing anyone will say is Ferrum have not played anyone that good yet and that their undefeated mark will be exposed against a good team.

cnusfinest54

TCheadhunter if you can recall Remember the Titans or Friday night lights I think. it was 3 teams and two coins. Three coins get flipped and odd man out loses. But either way that would be a stupid way to decide who goes.

CNUdude

It's going to be interesting to see how this all will play out. I think it's going to come down to the last game. CNU vs. Ferrum. Odds are Ferrum are going to win there next two games but I think the Captains are going to give them some trouble. I think in the end it will come down to CNU and Methodist. And then it will be up in the air to see who gets the bid.

Anybody planning a road trip to the Ferrum/CNU game? Can anyone recommend a good place to stay? I think we may have a small CNU contingent driving up from Williamsburg.
