If we have 4 wins this season I would consider it a very good year for the Pride.
4 football wins from now will be around halfway through the 2010 season for the pride...

Narch are you thinking .500 or better this year?

i'm hoping .500 or better for MU, but realistically, i'm not sure...this was a 2-8 team last year...i like the qb, i think the rb's and wr's are very solid, but there are questions on both lines and lots of losses in the lb and db corps (although i'm hearing that there are some really athletic db's in camp along with a nice d-lineman)...time will tell...

i do think they'll beat campbell and greensboro, though :)

prediction, methodist five wins midway 2010

rocket

Mosh,
I like that prediction. Five wins by next midseason and five by this midseason puts MC/MU in contention both years. I know what you meant, but it has been a little while since my last post. I just wanted to start back the right way, battling with you.

Prediction:
Methodist goes 12-1 this year. They now have the magic of the Shermanator.

rocket - went by the scrimmage the other day and i've gotta say that sherm looks natural as a coach...have you been in the new facility yet?

Narch- I went up there a couple weeks ago to visit Sherm and we toured the new facility. I will probably come to the first home game and check out the finished product.

I just looked at CNU's conference schedule and for the first time we aren't playing Ferrum for the final game of the regular season. The first three years of CNU's existence we had to beat Ferrum in order to advance to the playoffs. I've always felt Ferrum was CNU's biggest rival because of those first few years. It's weird to be playing anyone else at the end of the year. But I guess with such a new program and ever changing conference contenders it's hard to peg just one rival. Certainly NCWC has moved in to the rival category in the recent years, but once again they are a new program.

CNU's #1 nemesis however, is an easy pick. We play them every other year in the playoffs (4 match ups in 6 playoff appearances, ending our season each time). Of the four losses, the last two are just sickening (Lost by 3 in 2006 and by 6 in 2008).

There is a quaterback no. 16 who looks very good.  He has PIN POINT ACCURACY AND HAS A CANON FOR A ARM.  Also no. 7 has quickness.  I see a quaterback competition.

And if that means Long gets to return to DB, where he's a stud, then more power to the Captains!

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

Haha, Rocket.. I was trying to fire up narch.

12-1 that is a pretty big leap.

QuoteChecked out CNU Blue vs White game.  I was very impressed by the defense.  There is a quaterback no. 16 who looks very good.  He has PIN POINT ACCURACY AND HAS A CANON FOR A ARM.  Also no. 7 has quickness.  I see a quaterback competition.

Who is #16, are there any other new quaterbacks in camp this year? It would be great if Long could return to the defensive side of the ball.

Is that quarterback with the good arm the one that chose CNU over Mount Union?
