Anyone know how the SU starting O looked yesterday? How did the young wide receivers look? Cant wait for next Saturday when the Hornets take on Catholic in D.C.

For the CNU folk:
I've never been to the campus before, but I'm planning on heading up for the game against Rowan this weekend. What's the parking situation like around the stadium?

I know this question was asked here before we switched over to the new board, but I don't remember exacly what was said. Also, it should be mentioned that I don't know the area very well (I live on the southside of the HRBT).

Thanks for any help you guys can give. Good luck this weekend! I hope that you get some much deserved payback against the Beast of the East.

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

One of us was also higher on Methodist than the other, though I'll let you figure out who was who.  ;)

I can remember them coming up quite a few times in discussion.

pat - although i'm disappointed with the monarch's ranking...most notably below ehc, who mc beat 36-27 last season...the kickoff coverage is GREAT - if you haven't purchased it yet, plop down the cash and get it!

If nothing had changed at EHC over the offseason we probably would have left Methodist ahead. :)

Glad you enjoyed it otherwise.

k-mack - thanks for the love...that's why they play the games - the ehc game should be a lot of fun to watch, but i'm hoping the monarchs can pullĀ  the upset they SHOULD have pulled last year and beat the 'gulls this week! - GO MONARCHS!

The parking sucks. Plain and simple. There is plenty of parking in the parking deck right behing the Ferguson Center for the Arts, but you have to walk a ways to get to the stadium from there.  Best bet is to turn into campus from Warwick Blvd onto University Place (light directly across from the CNU Village and on the same corner as The Freeman Center. Turn into there and park in any of those parking lots that are available, although they could be full, depending on what time you get there. Get off at J Clyde (258 A or B cant  remember but you DONT want the Yorktown exit). Stay on J Clyde, cross over Jefferson Ave, pass the hospital, turn right onto Warwick Blvd. Go to the third light I believe and turn into campus. If you need anything else, just email me thru my profile.

Narch you got that one right, the Monarchs should have won that game last yr. Hopefully they will get it done this year.

What is the over/under/spread on the RU v CNU game this week?

mc55ol:

I know you USAC guys stick together, but here's hoping that the Gulls will have a nice cushion.  If I recall last years game was played "on a pond" will all the rain.  I hoping for great weather  so the running game can take off for the Gulls.

Im going to say Rowan is the favorite by 4, over/under of about 45.

njlincolnlion - last year is past history BUT...both teams played on the same field - in fact, i think ssu was better equipped to play on a sloppy field than the monarchs...they certainly had a better power running game than mc with satchell running up the gut - the biggest difference this year could prove to be d. johnson, who got hurt just before half-time last year (although he played a very ineffective 1st half) - if he stays healthy, the monarchs don't really have an answer for someone with his skill set - the monarchs just have to play assignment football and try to limit the big plays that ssu can rip off...much easier said than done, but i think the mc defense is better than they were last year and i've heard the offense is more balanced, so far...we'll see on sat!

Trying to get back on here, and make a few posts.  Still in the other I (IOWA) but will try to keep in touch.  By the way, my old profile did not work not sure what's going on.  Go Monarchs!!!

Anytime. Its a struggle, believe me, parking at CNU is the worst and it doesnt seem to be getting any better in the near future.
