on a more positive note (at least for MU fans), at least 5 USASAC players were named to the CoSida Academic All District Team, including Brian Leary and Jason Layton for MU, two players for SU and one from NCWC

Congrats, boys...that's what the game is all about at this level!

and I apologize if I missed anyone from any other USASAC school

It's easy to take for granted the freedoms you enjoy everyday when you've never had to sacrifice anything for it!  Remember today to thank those Veterans who's sacrifices have made it possible for us to enjoy the freedoms we do everyday!

It seems this year almost every AU home game its rained.  Let's hope that the weather's good so the game is decided on the field by the players and not by the elements.  Check that last comment - the only day it was nice this year was the CNU game and they lost.  Pray for a downpour!!!!

Ask and ye shall recieve, just a few days early......even if its sunny Saturday if its raining in Danville like it is here now, plus with what they are calling for, going to be a pretty wet field Saturday. Have to excuse me now, have to go finish my Ark.

Well said...

God bless all the Veterans.  We should never forget all that they have done for us.

AUPop - it is suppose to be 70 degrees and sunny.  From my discussions, the boys will be ready Saturday.  Can't wait, but not getting much work done at the office breaking down NCWU.  Go Cougars.

Note - a little write up about the game in the "Region" section of the DIII website.

Can get live stats through AU's web site but Penn Atlantic has it showing on thier schedule for broadcast Sat.  Dont know if it will be video or just audio but its at least there.

Bishop 64 - all the details for the Averett game are on the Preview for the game in the Football section.

Thanks WFU34 and AUPOP. This old disabled vets Arthritis is acting up, so I don't think I will be able to make it.
