Just noticed this. 21 points given up in the 4th quarter last week, 21 points given up in the 4th quarter this week. Gotta stop that.

Go Hawks!
How many second teamers were getting minutes in those games?
Not really any who don't already play anyway. Except for two or three guys, we normally play two deep at most defensive positions, sometimes 3 deep on the d-line so it was basically still the normal rotations.

For HC's sake for next week, the defense needs to be ready to play. LaGrange might have one the best offenses I've seen in a while. It's either a home run or a strike out for them. Scary thing is/was/will continue to be is their play makers' ability to turn a 10 yard crossing pattern into 80 quick ones and 6 on the board in a matter of seconds.
I think HC will come out with a win because they'll have more big plays, but it's going to be a fight for a good part of the game.

Track meet. It's liable to be 77-70 whoever has the ball last wins.  :)

Yeah, no kidding. I'm guessing over 1300 yards of total offense, if not more.

It looks as if the Huntingdon D shut down with that big lead late. The

Maryville game will be big with the Hawks not playing CNUY

Football !!! The ultimate team sport. Anyone who plays DIII football is a winner...

I don't think there's much separating Maryville, CNU, and Huntingdon at this point in the season. If MC can get by CNU this weekend, look for an 8-1/7-1 November showdown in Montgomery.  Might even be an Instant Classic candidate for ESPN.

The thing is, it wasn't that big of a lead. From mid-third quarter on, the lead was never more than two scores.

Not to "besmirch" anybody but, just walked up to the table with the "Visitor Pass" sign and the guy says, "It's that table over there. "  ::)

Maryville (TN.) looking good right now.

Great game between LaGrange and Huntingdon.  LaGrange wins 44-40 with a last minute drive.

That Mumme style offense is fun to watch and fun to play.

DGPugh

Having watched a Mumme style offense for four years at McMurry, I am not discounting LaGrange's chances to challenge for the crown.  The Panthers are becoming more familiar with the offense and execute it better each week.

I understand your pain, Doc Pugh.
