NFL scouts are coming to CNU to lok at South Region POY Tunde Ogun.  His 6"0-228 lb frame should impress the scouts  as they take him thru combine drills.

bask1804,

I did not mean to chase you away.  Come back, please. :)

Any Spring Ball updates.  Is that now?

You have to swear a little bit when you coach (or at least on the defensive side of the ball) but you really don't want to read about it in the news.

I have no problem with it but Im sure the administration at cnu wasnt happy to read that one.

I'm sure they weren't! There was another story in the local paper with quotes from the guy. Embarrasing.....too much "stuff"

I'll find it and post it.

As a Mansfield alum (and native,) good luck to Coach Dee and Coach Kelchner, except when they open up with  Wesley, coached  another Mansfield alum Mike Drass, on September 5.

Coach K's father was the president of Mansfield when I attended (late 80's)and we all loved him. He had also served as the school's head coach in the 60's for three years. Coach Matt also started his coaching acreer at Mansfield in 1982 when Wesley coach Mike Drass was a senior All-PSAC offensive lineman.

Bad language on the football field, I have never heard of such a thing!

This 2009 team will be tuffer and meaner because of him.
Will they also be "ruffer"?

When the going gets "tuff", the "tough" get a dictionary.  :)

moshergc9

tuffer, ruffer.

Looks like something I would write.  I saw Greensboro College cut 8 employees and gave the staff a 20 percent decrease.  Tuff times for the small colleges in nc.   I wonder how many players will choose to go to cc for a year to save some money.  I doubt it will effect most kids who want to play college ball.  Most of them will want to play so bad that they wont care about the debt they are getting into to.  Has the economy effected recruiting this yr?  I know it prob hasn't effected cnu because the state tuition there is so low.

Hasanova, lets cut out the jokes and talk some football.  Your team is just like you, full of jokes.
You know, it's possible to be a good football player and a good writer ... they're not mutually exclusive.   You gave a pretty quick assessment of me and my school ... but I don't know who your team is.  For now, I'll operate under the impression they're a good team and you're a good guy.

It's the off-season!  I hope everyone can lighten up!  :)

PS  It's "let's".

CNU raised tuition 3.9%. It is now the 4th most expensive public school in Va. Behind UVA, Tech, William and Mary and another school I forgot (JMU maybe?). Cost is about $18k. - just some facts to shed some lite (that's for you Hasa!!)

Somone should do the cost of each school and put the football record next to the price tag to see which school gives the players the most for its buck.
