Boy did the pick em rankings really get screwed up this week.....I think I go 1 right, not counting the ODAC picks.

the d3 football scoreboard says NCWC 35  CNU 7??? Is that right? :o

AUPOP

Thats what NCWC web site says also so guess so...

Thats what the CNU Live Stats said
BEWARE THE BLACK HATS!

CNU85

That was the score 35-7. CNU had 7 turnovers and many 3 and outs. Defense tried very hard and just was on the field too much. CNU has a serious QB problem this year. The QBs are young. Flashes of brilliance, then a pick six. I think all 7 turnovers were from QB's but I'm not sure...3 INTs and 4 fumbles. With 44 seconds left in third it was 14-0. I had to leave a little early (my dad is ill) - when I left in 4th qt...about 4 minutes or so left, it as 21-7. By the time I got to my car it was 35-7 - and I parked about 50 yards outside of the stadium gate. NCW was awesome.....their receivers are huge. I would have tossed the ball up on every play and let the big boys outjump CNU's corners. 35-7 was not indicative of the game....it looked liked it should have been 50+ to 7.

That was the worst CNU home defeat in history. Not a pretty homecoming at all.

Congrats to NCW!

the mu/su game was very entertaining...not the prettiest football you've ever seen, but really entertaining and the monarchs got a 42 yd fg in ot to get the W (after blocking a fg attempt by SU in OT)

Biggest win in Greensboro's History.

Thats for sure.

KEEPING IT REAL

Congrats to Tunde Ogun for becoming CNU all time leading rusher, and he did it in just 3 years.

CNU set another record this week. Most turnovers in one game. Ridiculous.

I'm not sure who said CNU has a huge advantage due to the size of their linemen. From what I could see. NCW has some big boys pushing up front. I will have to disagree with CNU85 though. NCW is good but it really really all boiled down to the turnovers. When you give the team the ball 9 times(Oh sorry two penalties so just 7 times) it's hard to win. Take the turnovers out and NCW looks like a good team with very good receivers but far from a great team. With that said, I think they are definitely beatable by a few USA south teams left on their schedule. I know Im biased toward CNU but 7 turnovers? And they were real gimmies. INTs with no blue jerseys nearby. QB #7 fumbled the ball so many times I lost count. And he never really got hit hard either. He just didnt hold onto the ball. I think I saw him fumble 5 times.  I mean the deaf and blind school for girls could have won if they got 7 turnovers. The game was the worst I have ever seen CNU play. EVER. And I have seen almost every game. EVER.

Now for a positive note. It can't get any worse than that. And a pissed off, wounded football team is a scary thing. Look for CNU to come out swinging on every other team it faces this year.

Seems a few teams had disappointing homecomings.  After looking like it might be a long afternoon in Q1, AU pulled out a tight game.  Just like CNU's loss - turnovers hurt Maryville.

Conference race looks wide up (w/obviously NCWU currently in the best position) - Won't be surprised if there's a tie for title.

Looking at Maryville's remaining schedule, AU may be their biggest fans for the next 4 games.
