What type of team does Ferrum have this year?  Does SU have a shot of getting back into the win column this Saturday night?  Who are the standouts for the Panthers?

Allen C

I probably will not give you the most unbiased answer, so I will leave this one to others.

Bishop64,

You are absolutely right.  CNU was out-played in every aspect of the game.    You don't have to defend NCWC because nobody has said anything bad about them.  NCWC was stronger, faster and played with more effort then the Captains this weekend.  They are the better team and it showed on Saturday.  At CNU we pride ourselves on having a huge homefield advantage and got embarassed at home on Saturday - plain and simple.  But Keeping it Real is right, anything can happen so I'm sure the boys will keep on fighting until the season is over.

I know the feeling. The Bishops got their clock wiped the first game of the season against HSU. It happens. I guess that is what makes us all want to come back for more. Good luck to CNU the rest of the way. As the old saying goes, it ain't over till it's over.

This season has been anything but what was expected.  So far, any given Saturday any team can pull an upset.  NCW is always talented so it's not a surprise when they beat someone.  CNU is usually very good.  It is a surprise when they make the kinds of mistakes talked about here.  When another team can capitalize on turnovers, anything goes.

Very fast offensively and can put up points.  Good against the run up the middle.  They had a very hard time stopping the pass from the spread offense.  MU found that out a little to late but were able to rack up 28 points with the spread in the 4th quarter.  SU definitely has a chance.  I do not believe that was there best outing against MU.  What I saw was a very athletic team without direction or chemistry.  A lot of individual ego's cost SU in penalty yards.

MILBY
I have not seen them this year or for at least 5 years but I will say this without seeing them recently.

They will  "BRING THE HAT" and knock somebody's head off. That is for sure

Should be a physical game then, because DC, Brock McCullough is doing a hell'va job for the Hornets.  He's going to make an outstanding Head Coach down the road somewhere.  He's s first class man on and off the field!

Brock McCullough is in his fifth year with the SU staff and his third as a full-time member. In March 2007, McCullough was promoted to full-time status as the university expanded the full-time staff to four members.

In March 2008, McCullough was promoted again, this time to defensive coordinator. He is the fourth defensive coordinator to serve under Barnes.

McCullough originally came to Shenandoah in August 2004 after serving as the defensive backs and strength coach at Grove City in 2003.

Prior to his experience at Grove City, McCullough worked for two seasons as the outside linebackers and wide receivers coach at Division II Clarion University.

A 2000 Aztec Bowl participant following his senior season at Grove City, McCullough and his wife, Jen, have one daughter, Rowan.

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.
