This weather is not good for AU or my Bishops :(
The only easy day was yesterday

WFU34

AU field's still soaked.  It's suppose to be a nice day but field probably going to be a mess which could turn the game into a defensive/turnover battle.

Emotional day yesterday for seniors, last full practice but they're focused to go another week.  For kids that were winless 2 years ago, to win the conference and go to the playoffs would be quite an accomplishment.  Here's hoping they do.

Do the Bishops need to wear 2" cleats or waders? ;D

I also think the AU field will be very muddy.  It's not a particulary good surface even under ideal conditions and by this time of the season, the multiple sports have worn it thin.  Add all this rain and, well, Mudfest '09.  Wear the right cleats and hang on to the ball!

Guess I'll have to stay around the house and roast some oysters tonight instead of going to the Hoggard game   :'(

Only in the eastern half of the state; everybody west of Greensboro is playing.

I think it is predominatly the coastal area. I know as of 45 minutes ago Rocky Mount was playing tonight.

I see on the playoff predictions the writers aren't giving a whole lot of "love" to the USA South champion.  Whether its Averett or NCWU they project an 8 seed for the conference.

One thing I did notice - that if Averett wins the bid, there is a possibility of AU playing Mount Union in the first round.  If that happens, well at least one USA South team plays them (actually it would be the 3rd time if it occurs.  Why is Averett the only team that gets to play them?).

Just noting that as the CNU posters have been absent from the board quite a  bit this week.  (just tweeking you a little from all the prior posts on strenght of schedules).

Hope AU wins tomorrow but if NCWU does, best of luck representing the conference.

Considering there are no USAC teams in the regional rankings, I think that's a reasonable seed.
