Atta boy for Garcon the only D3 dude to catch a TD in the SUper Bowl (I think) ....even though he was trying to hurt Da Saints

He's the third (players from Augustana and Wabash have also done the deed). ;)

Still, it is a pretty awesome level he's succeeded at!

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

Yeah, I'll have to amend my earlier statement. The Augustana player was Bengals quarterback Ken Anderson, and it's unlikely that his Super Bowl touchdown was a reception. Rather, it was probably a sneak. :)

garcon is an absolute beast...he's probably the best pure athlete on the colts roster, and that's saying something...what i'm amazed at is how well he runs routes and what strong hands he has...i think he'll have a long, productive career

abnrgr

concur with Narch...but as long as he is productive with the AFC.  :)

Hopefully there will another d3 player playing in the NFL. I mean there will be.

Along that line "Real" I would like to see a brutish lineman...

probably one of the toughest positions to be filled by a d3'er (or college football player, for that matter) - most d3 guys who are big enough, aren't athletic enough and the ones athletic enough aren't big enough...if they are big enough and athletic enough, they probably aren't a d3 player (although I do recall that mt. union had a big OL that was signed at ohio state and didn't qualify who was mentioned as a pro prospect...not sure if he is still in school or if he panned out)

abnrgr

You're right Narch about all. I remember seeing some monsters in 2004 at Catholic (OL) and they were quick. Feet, reach, strength, balance....

Im guessing there may be one at CNU WHO IS 6'0 AND 215 POUNDS.

Almost every school I saw from 2001-2004 had a huge OT. Even GC-Q had a 6'7" OT during that time and he had some talent but did not want to put the time in the weight room. Sometimes I think there is the talent in D3 but sometimes not the desire. USually because they have suffered in the trenches without exposure. Beats you down.

There are players they just need a shot....

This person I'm talking about is a running back.
