I watched you play for a couple of seasons. I thought you had gone in for Tommy John surgery.  ;) I mean you threw on the run all day son. You had the gun that's for sure

You still coaching?

NCW must be getting all those speed merchants down by the coast because GC and GC-Q did not even sniff around down there. Speed kills

I wouldn't say the Pride hasn't sniffed around down there, but if you are a high school athlete looking to play football.  Which team are you going to choose?  A team that has been fairly successful from the start or a team that has struggled.

Yeah, surgery ended my short-lived arena career, but I can still throw it a little. I coached High School ball in Fayetteville for the last four years before giving that up to become a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy. I'm in Norfolk now so it is just a short drive to most of MU's games. I'm glad I will get to see most of Coach Sy's last season. Anyway, glad to be back for another season. Go MU!

SWO!! OMG!! That has to be the most brutal learning experience possible. Now I got another vet (albeit AD) to use incredible acronyms that makes no sense to other humans.  :)

Congrats Ensign or is it LT (JG). Do you have a ship yet?

Still an Ensign. I'm on USS Ramage (DDG 61). We just got back from deployment early August. SWO hasn't been as bad as people made it out to be, but I have a great CO and XO. Looking forward to seeing a little football instead of standing port/ starboard watch sections.

Hey folks, I'm a student at CNU and I've started up a blog in affiliation with CNUsports.com.  First post went up today, and there will be more to come this week.  Thought you might like to check it out!

Check out the newest post on Captains Corner! Football's scrimmage, and preparation for Saturday's season opener.

Also, if anybody has any suggestions, whether it be design or content (granted there's not much content to judge yet), I'd love to hear your input.  Thanks!

20 minutes from CNU....if you ever want to come see a game, let me know....I usually have an extra ticket or two from my season tickets.

How does Kelchner feel about this added publicity? Just curious.

Ryan.Kelly

Well this is very new for everybody so we haven't gotten much feedback at all yet, I'm hoping more of that will start rolling in over the next few weeks as more content is added.  Coach Kelchner didn't have any problems answering my questions this week, but didn't say anything about the blog itself one way or the other.

You never know what might happen any given year. Go MU!!! I can't wait to see some football. I might even try to sneak in the locker room and throw on that #2 again. I think I have at least a half in me.
oh...you've got at least 3 quarters in you :)

looks like there won't be a #1 or #2 on the mu roster this year (for those who don't know, those are honorary numbers for offensive and defensive leaders)

will i see you at the game this weekend?

I figured it was ok. Kyle posted your blog link on facebook. I think it's great stuff! When hoops season gets closer, I'm looking forward to info on new guys and the Lady Captains!

CNU85, I will definitely take you up on that at some point.
