Conference looks interesting....4 way tie for first. FC comes to CNU for homecoming next weekend. I wonder if FC will punt to Kentel Noel. amazing game!

about a month ago I looked at all the rosters. I really don't remember any d3 players. Could have been. But mostly I was impressed with the # of BCS schools represented.

wow....board is dead on game day. CNU wins homecoming game against Ferrum 27-21. CNU now 4-1 in conference. Cheer on SU tonight!!!

85,

I was there, and for awhile, I was hopeful....then came the third quarter, and the size and speed of CNU wore down the Panthers. I felt like Ferrum showed well, but are not as big or as fast...especially fast across the roster as CNU is.
I thought Mayo looked good through the air, but the Ferrum running game was really held in check.

Again I am disappointed in the outcome, but there was a lot of good sportsmanship shown, and I only had to drive about 14 miles, rather than 5 hours!

I can only hope....maybe next year!

Allen C,

I agree. except for a very limited # of plays, CNU was able to shut down the FC running game. But the QB was lighting up the secondary.......he should throw more! He can do more than run. I was impressed with his passing ability. Good receivers too. Turnovers hurt, obviously. FC never gave up. I was worried when they pulled within 6 and then got the on sides kick.

I've watched 5 CNU games this year and they seem to be clicking a lot better the past few weeks. Of course, not playing Wesley or Salisbury helps. But even so, the defensive schemes seemt to be working and the O-line has become unbelievable in the last 3 games. The CNU QB today played very well....no mistakes...checked off on some plays. And #5 finally seems to have adjusted from QB to RB. 140+ yds today!

Very fun game to watch....competitve!

Looking good in Shenandoah right now!! 24-14 with 5 min left in game!

I have to say you are right, and I thought your QB was strong, but I was expecting Long. Is he hurt? Ferrum's FB went down again, and while he appeared to be ok, he never returned to the game- I doubt it would have helped.
Mayo is at 999 yards passing yards this year. Over the next two games he should easily set the mark for the most passing yards over the last 6 years. I agree he should pass more...We will see what the future holds as there is a coaching change coming.
