Hilarious- Good Luck to CNU next week. I have to say I was disappointed that Ferrum fell in it's season finale, and the last game for coach Davis. I am already looking forward to next season. I know they will lose a lot of their D line, but I have to believe they will be a much stronger team next year. Mark it down now- they very well be the team to beat. But til then, I really hope CNU goes up to Delaware and stomps Wesley....but a one point win will do!
BEWARE THE BLACK HATS!

CNU85

CNU gets to take it's second plane ride to Texas. I hope the game is a little better than the last one. One difference is that I will not be on the plane this time to go watch. I will be on a nice little vacation celebrating year #25 with the Mrs.

But I will sneak a peak or two at the d3football.com scoreboard on my blackberry!

PAt C - I will say that today's brief selection show on ESPN News was your best. Very nice job!

Don't worry. I don't think that they will be in the conference much longer.

So looking at how it finished up and what I thought in preseason, Ferrum did much better with Mayo than I expected and Averett seemed to fade off some after winning at CNU.

Was thinking on this again, if the years from the preseason pub are right the new coaching seniority board looks like this. With a plus one going to the years for the coaches who are coaching next season.

CNU - Kelchner (Susquehana '82) -- 10 years
AU -- Denlevy (Otterbein '87) -- 9
SU -- Barnes (James Madison '82) -- 9
MC -- Ierulli (Maryville '79) -- 8
NCW -- Henninger (Wittenberg '96) -- 3
GC -- Hunt  (Glenville State '75) -- 2
MU Eavenson (Methodist '96) -- 0
FC -- 0

Which drops the average tenure from 9.25 seasons to 5.4 seasons for the coaches to be the head coach at their respective schools. But Eavenson doubles the number of coaches directing programs at their alma mater. I expect that number could go up in a decade or so, as the younger programs begin to produce coaches.

For those who have no playoff game to look forward to, except just favoring CNU to win in Texas for conference pride, the senior classic has a long list of conference players invited to Salem for that all-star game.
