a brief look at CNU roster...

1 NY.
1 PA - but went to HS in VA
2 CA

the rest VA

I'm sure it is. Looks a little thicker than 107.
The one I'm excited to see play is hometown kid Koko from Alcoa. Top 3 rushers from last year are 2 seniors and a junior, but I think he will see some quality time.

I forget CNU graduates 3x or more the number everyone else does in a year. That makes for a good base of alumni support.

And now I know why CNU hoops had some sweet shoes last year....

MC has updated the roster for this year. Looks like the guys stepped up recruiting this year-several new states. NC with 12, SC with 2 new and 3 total, TX (yes, Texas) with 7, and 1 guy that probably had a broken GPS from NJ.
Other states are GA, FL, AL.

I am sure it is a typo, but they have him listed as a DL at 5'9 107.

They use the metric system in NJ. And they don't use GPS up there....can't pump your own gas anyway.

graduating class of 2013 was over 1,000. My daughter was one of them.

This year's freshmen class is largest ever. I want to say it is just a few short of 1,300.

And I graduated with around 275 at Maryville.... yikes.

MC has its largest freshman class too. Not sure what the number is, but I've heard they've had to make freshmen triple up in their dorms. Excuse me, "residential halls". (I guess the use of the word "dorm" isn't PC anymore.) My freshman class was over 400 and we had plenty of room, must mean the Class of 2017 is pushing 500.  Hopefully most stay and help Maryville grow in the coming years.

My High School Class had 505 graduates. Double Yikes.  CNU has had to triple up some of the rooms n the past. It is now a requirement for students to live on campus through Junior year. A new dorm is supposed to be open this week...450 beds. That's almost 10% of student body. I hope it's ready in time.

And this Year's freshman come in with a 3.71 GPA and averaging over 1200 on SAT. Glad I'm old and got in back when the mission was different. No dorms at all when I was there.

Football news. The roster is up for CNU but no freshmen listed yet. And I am really clueless about the team this year. I have no idea what's going on. So let's get the party started and open the parking lot for tailgating.

Speaking of tailgating, how does it work at CNU? Call head to the athletics department and reserve spots?

Just crossed my mind....LESS THAN 3 WEEKS UNTIL KICKOFF!
I, for one, can't wait.  Let's hope that everybody has a great out of conference record.  I'm bout dang tired of hearing my ODAC buddies mocking the USAC. It's about time we as a conference play a little better early in the season.

Heard from several sources today/tonight the scrimmage at BSC went well.  BSC has a talented group, but my boys had the edge throughout the session which was cut short by storms.  During the half game portion of the scrimmage, the 1's got up on BSC 10-0, but the 2's and 3's let them creep back a little. "Final score" was 17-13 MC. Can't complain there, but a lot to iron out during the next 2 weeks to get ready for the season.

Not sure if any injuries other than the usual bumps and bruises, hopefully both teams got out safely.  Hope the MU/Loisburg and other conference scrimmages go well and injury free.
