CNU85

Made the trip to the game last night. The Bishops will surprise a few folks this year. Very explosive players! Great game to watch. I'm glad I made the trip. Time to focus on the Monarchs!

I watch a bit of the Bishops games over the years and to me, they always had good skill guys.

I'm not surprised that CNU topped the Bishops tonight, but I'll admit the game was a lot closer than I thought.

It was too close....still waiting for the CNU defense to show up.

It is very interesting, last year it was waiting for the offense to show up...

CNU returned 17 starters this season....thank goodness the offense has played pretty well.  I guess I'm just surprised/disappointed so far....

Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day for football in Fayetteville. Any of you Methodist guys going to be there?

Go Hawks!

MC 40 Averett 17.

AU's offense only put three on the board. Jones took a punt and KO to the house.

Methodist defeats Huntingdon 41-34 in OT. Both teams were very impressive.
BEWARE THE BLACK HATS!

Can anyone shed any light on how Averett and Shenandoah ended up in a tie? Was it a weather situation?

No ties -- that's a partial score for a game that hasn't started yet.

HAHA Last time I had a few with AdmiralPapi it did not end so well!
papi probably started something he couldn't finish...just like a qb to stick his head in something and hope his ol will bail him out :)

Narch...come on man, don't try to lump me in with these modern day "wear pink shirts and please don't hit me QB's"

hawks88 - looks like you had a great day to watch football, and a great game to watch (result notwithstanding for you) - it was my first missed home game in more than 3 years...the boy had a soccer game at the same time as the football game

i hope you found mu hospitable and it sounds like your hawks gave the monarchs everything they could handle...i'm happy for the win, but the mu defense has to step up

Just got home from the 7+ hour drive from Fayetteville. A very nice day and a very entertaining game. I feel like we should have won with the chance to pretty much put it way with a 6 point lead and 4th goal at the one with less than 5 minutes to go but got no points and it went from there.
Funny that this was your first home game missed in a while since the MU-HC game last year was my first home game missed in about 5 years.
MU has a beautiful campus and everyone we came across was friendly. Except for the game's outcome we had a very good weekend there. We went to the Airborne and Special Ops Museum Friday afternoon.  I highly recommend going if you haven't been. We spent two hours and could have stayed longer but hurried through the last parts after getting tired.

Hopefully we can get back on track next week at Murvul.

Go Hawks!
