You got that right. Safe travels to the Captains.
Looking forward to seeing if our defense can keep improving and can contain Morrast and company well enough to get the win and get back in the race for conference title.

Go Hawks!

730 miles according to TES. 11hrs 15 minutes according to Google. Not the longest, but pretty bad. UWW's trip to TCNJ topped out at 14+ hours. So that one was even worse. I think some of the ASC conference trips are pretty bad as well.

I wonder what the longest annual conference trip tops out at? I'm thinking LC to Sul Ross State at 11hrs 30+ minutes by Google and 808 miles according to TES.

11 hrs 15 min per google means about 10.5 hrs for me.....and 13 hrs for a bus!  ;D

Oh yeah. Dedicated student athletes for sure. CNU will travel a lot in the NJAC, but no horror trips like this one. Shenandoah was the team that really scored however. Joining the ODAC was a massive coup for them travel wise. Adding LaGrange and Huntingdon was done for good reasons, and I truly applaud the USASC for making a tough decision, but some of those trips are just murderous...

I have to admit, I was disappointed when the Bishops named Coach Ski  to be their head Coach.  Now I have to admit he has done a lot for the program. He is bringing an attitude that hard work, desire, and a never give up attitude to the program that I haven't seen in a few years. Not only to the program, but he has helped formulate a program that attracts students and fans to the game. Settling on a home field has been a tremendous and  positive accomplishment.  We may not be there yet, but I do think this program is headed in the right direction. The more we get the area involved, the better we will be.  Go Bishops!!!!

I think it is headed in right direction, too! Good luck in the years ahead. CNU and NCW hopefully will face each other again....that would mean in the post season!

Thanks CNU85....It has been a good rivalry. It would be a shame for it not to continue.

lets go hawknarchs :)

gonna be a beautiful day for football in the 'ville...mu by 13

and in alabama, the hawks pull the mild upset and beat cnu by 4

...at least those are the results i'm hoping for :)

and in case anyone missed it, adam turer wrote a good piece about usasac signal callers in around the region - when discussing the underclassmen, though, he overlooked the one who might be the best - jordan vann at mu won the rookie of the year award in the conference before transferring to mu, and i think the monarch offense will be in very capable hands next year

If I had to ride that far on a bus that's the bus I would want to ride in. Those are some NIIICE busses.

Go Hawks!

Heavy rain in Ferrum all day and at the start of the fourth quarter, we are in a lightning delay. MC up 20-13.
Where Chilhowee's lofty mountains pierce the southern blue, proudly stands our Alma Mater
NOBLE, GRAND, and TRUE.
TO THE HILL!

Ferrum falls to 0-5 as the Scots win 23-13. It was a slopfest in Ferrum, but I doubt at the start of the season anyone would have thought it would have been that close. Nor do I think anyone would have thought Ferrum would only lose by 2 to CNU. Next week Huntingdon, at Ferrum. These two weeks have been rough, and I don't see next week being any easier, but Coach Harper said at the post game interview..."tough times don't last , but tough people do". The running back Shuler for MC is strong as an ox.
BEWARE THE BLACK HATS!

can anyone give me an update on my Hawks?
