Depression is only a week long adventure in the football world. Unless you are from Jones COunty.  ;)
not depressed, just realistic - that defense HAS to get better for the monarchs to reach their goals, and jones county is lovely...as long as you're just passing through :)
Well, it also has a Trenton.

My one scream about Havelock. 84 laid on White Oak. 70 in the 1st half. We laid wood for about 64 on West Craven in 74 but 64 is all that I have been part of. Good going GC-Q for you NOVA

I wont be able to make it down for the LaGrange game. Holler loud but try not to cast dispersions on them. ;D
(Note: I beleive it would be mo proper to say "cast aspersions", which would mean, you are questioning their abilities or doubting them..............but hay............. it was a feller from lagrange that accused us of it)  :D

I had to dig back into the archives of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference board(that's where all the SLIAC stuff from 2008 ended up after those two merged) to find the actual term and besmirch was the one that was used. I was accused of besmirching the entire team. LOL. Never mind that he misspelled Huntingdon twice in his post. Oh, well. Fun times/good memories.
We are 6-2 all time against LaGrange and the two losses were the only two games played as conference mates(last season and 2008 in the SLIAC). That little streak needs to end real quick this week. Looks to be awesome weather for Saturday. Wish you could be there.
Go Hawks!

after i posted, it came to me... he did say Bismerched  but i was tooo lazy to go back and correct
im still laughing about that and the feller yelling at the JV game. ;D

Anyway, didnt you correct the spelling ??? i cant remember. :D

be-smirched is even better than casting dis (as) persions
as Huntindon fans... we should never do that ;)

and you are so right
A- good times
B- the streak needs to stop now
Go Hawks and keep the faith

Thanks, abnrgr.  Hope the Quakes keep their focus for last four games!  With the great numbers narch's MU is putting up, the Guilford win over the Monarchs is looking better and better.

i saw that, too...

by the way, that is the EXACT play i would have run for a 2 pt conversion in OT vs. cnu, but with radke on the receiving end - it is so difficult to stop - if the corner doesn't come up and the linebacker bites the ball fake to the rb, reber runs it in - if the linebacker fills and the corner lays back, reber throws it out to radke on the bubble and he has a head of steam and a size advantage - if the corner and lb come up, the receiver releases and reber drops the dime over their head, as he did in this play - the play action to the rb and trips formation to the wide side of the field make it difficult for the safety to get over there in time, and if you line the safety up over there, that opens the middle and means the offense can run slants on the trips side...tough play to defend in tight space when running the ball is a legitimate option

or if you get tackled, overthrow the ball, drop the ball, make a bad throw, trip and fall, receiver sneezes, underthrow the ball,  you lose the game! bahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha

of course, in hindsight that result wouldn't have been any different than the result we got, right :)
