thanks.  +K

I watched their first game and the announcers read on air texts, tweets, and facebook posts from people who were watching the game. "Bob from Knoxville is watching the Bucs tonight" kind of thing.
It would be awesome if D3 guys watching the stream tweeted/facebooked in a little D3 love.

I can hear it now... "JK from Alabama is watching in support of a D3 team playing up 2 divisions." ;D

Sorry. I'm not a twit. I mean I don't tweet, although I equate those two things. And my Facebook does not need random spam from ETSU cluttering it up until I figure out how to get rid of it after the game!

Fair enough.  ::)

Anyone planning on going to Huntingdon at BSC this weekend? Since it's a night game I can't drag the family over there, but since it looks like the weather might be great I might try and sneak out of the house. Any of my Huntingdon friends driving up?

Still planning to be there, JK. That weather does look like some awesome fall like football weather, might even be a little chilly toward the end after the sun goes down. Bringing the grill and some chicken wings if want some early supper. Look for a red canopy with white trim.

Go Hawks!

Excellent. I will try and guilt my wife into letting me have a night out while she watches the kids!

Alright!!

Saw first half, sort of. ETSU looked like they had figured out how to move the ball.  What happened?

Nice win for the Scots. Sadly I was at my kids preschool open house. Funny how life gets in the way of football.

Still not a huge fan of playing that game, but it certainly could be the kind of confidence boosting win that affects the rest of the season. Nice job Scots!

There is indeed that and I would absolutely fold.

Why not jknezek?  As I'm sure you recall, we've had many discussions about this in the past on the various boards.  I guess I am of the opposite opinion of you.   While I do understand the reasons for arguments against it, IMO, there many positives.   I believe it is a great experience for the players and often, helps improve one's program if a coach chooses to do so (I can't believe it wouldn't do so in this case since the Maryville won ;).  All that said, obviously, in future years ETSU will pummel DIII teams once they get to the level they expect in FCS in reinstating the program.  Anyway, as you said, nice job and a great win and confidence booster for Maryville (and a "bummer" for ETSU).

BTW, great  attendance for the game! I'm sure that was a neat atmosphere.

It was a neat atmosphere. Kind of strange I thaught that the fact that the visitor side filled up with home fans before the game started. But the Maryville player knew exactly where there fans were and fed off of there small gruop of fans when they needed it.

Been to two games in TN and still don't get why players are not on the field for the Natinal Anthem??
