Tough loss for HC vs NCWC ... not sure if the Hawks will drop out of the Top 25, but they'll take a hit.  When you lose your conference opener to a contender, it puts you behind the eight ball ... even if you go 6-1, 9-1, you have to hope NCWC goes 5-2 in the USASAC because you've already lost the head-to-head tie-breaker.  Same thing happened to Guilford last year vs W&L and we stayed home because the Generals never lost.  All you can do is regroup and watch the scoreboard.

Scots13

Tied at 10 at the half for Maryville and NCWC.

Nice bounce back win for the Hawks 48-27 over Ferrum. It wasn't really that close as Ferrum got a couple of late scores when we were subbing pretty liberally.
On to a big rivalry game with Lagrange next week. Always a tough one.

Go Hawks!

P.S. - Thanks, Maryville.  We needed that.

You're welcome, but we did it for us. Shades of 2012 all over the place.

The Fayetteville area apparently took a big hit from Matthew with some severe flooding and damage. MU is closed for the whole week with all athletic events postponed, including Saturday's football game at NC Wesleyan.

Terrible situation for all. Hope the area recovers soon.

Any chance of being rescheduled? NCWC is still in the thick of things.

Water is on the edge of Bishop Stadium. I hope it is rescheduled, but I don't know when it could be !
The only easy day was yesterday

CNU85

The schedule is going to be crazy if Methodist has 2 games cancelled. AU and NCW also missing a game. It's a shame not having a full schedule and letting all the "what ifs" play out.

Someone could very well feel like they are on the short end of the stick.

Hawks88

Dominating win for the Hawks over Lagrange 55-13 making our combined total against the Mummes this season 120-34.
Trip to Methodist up next. Hoping things in Fayetteville have improved enough that we get to go play it.

Go Hawks!

MC 42-19 over Ferrum. Started slow, got on a roll, but finished sloppy after an injury apiece early in the the 4th in the span of seconds of game play. Averett next.

According to the Methodist website the remainder of the season will be played as scheduled and they have petitioned the NCAA to replay one of the missed games after the conclusion of the regular season.
Now we just hope they allow Huntingdon to do their video webcast. We've been hearing for several weeks now that they didn't want to let him because they don't have room. Not sure what that matters as two years ago he set up in the visitor's bleachers with a generator to do it. Hopefully it gets worked out so we can see the game. Does Methodist do a webcast? I don't see a link to it on their website.

They usually do have a webcast.
