Great Game! The Rocket is definitly awesome! Glad to see the FC win however. Great comeback!
We need Blackhats back. I may be one of the few Panther fans out here.

Pitts is pretty tough.

Narch,

Has MU played NCW yet? I know their record is not great, but I think they probably are underrated. Should Ferrum be concerned?

This has been an interesting week on the board. You put up many informative posts. thanks.

Take care of the Captains. Put it to them.

I dont gloat, I am just happy to see the season going so well for FC. Glad they get a week off. They still will not be ranked, but I think they will be looked at closer. I know its meaningless, but the prestiege could not hurt.

Thanks again narch for your input to the board.

Pat,
My bad, didnt mean to sound so official...I guess I cant help but permiate the thoughts of great leadership.  haha, but I wont ever sound that official again.

This league has turned from a defensive oriented league into a offensive juggernooooooooooooot!   Seems like every team in the conf is scoring more points this year.

My high school team is 4-4 but we only score about 2-3 tds a game.  Kids need to learn how to produce...Anyways, Narch you are right...The Pride should start winning soon.  And I think they will.  I know they are hungry.

Roll PRIDE!

Why didn't Mike Hill play for Methodist?  He shows as starting in the Ferrum game, but didn't have a rush (or any stat for that matter).  Injured?

Mosh, I  wish SU would join the league in the "high offensive juggernooooooooooooot". SU is avg. like 15 or so points this year. Just another reason to get rid of that boring to watch ACE-WING.

Mosher,

No big deal -- I'm just surprised someone was confused by it. :)

Pat,

What are your thoughts on the Ferrum/ Meth. game?  I dont see it getting FC ranked, but maybe somemore credibility?

Pat Coleman

Sure, more credibility. I just hope someone besides me votes for Ferrum this week. I'm tired of being the only one with the Panthers on my ballot the past three weeks.

kid - the mc press release said he didn't play due to injury...i'm not sure that he even played as the sid commented last night that he had yet to see hill play - if he plays, the monarchs are 5-1 instead of 4-2 in my opinion...he's worth at least 6 points a game :)

Greensboro owns SU!

Nice first win, took too long...

More upsets to come.

ROLL PRIDE!

narch

mosh - just looked at the gc/su box score - key to the game...hoffman did his best roberson impression, throwing 3 picks and roberson didn't throw any (with 4 td's...nice day!) - i also noticed that wr torrey lowe led gc in rushing, recieving and was 2-2 passing...not bad - good win for the pride - congrats!

Uncle Jessie

Nice win for the Pride, taking advantage of 4 turnovers from SU. 1 fumble and 3 INT's. Why Barnes keeps putting Hoffman out on the field baffles me. Each game its the same thing from him.

The season is way past over for SU.
Its now time to look at the future all the way and let the younger guys behind Hoffman play. Shoot, they cant do any worse.

On a side note. anyone from GC know what was up with the team bus showing up late in the 2nd QT? With about 5 min to play in the 2nd it looked like 25 guys game running out of the bus in full pads.

Jessie,
In case you didn't notice Hoffman threw for 195 yards and 2 tds...the first td scrambling out of trouble...through 4 GC tackers and hitting Hering with a strike on the run ...the second a perfectly thrown ball in triple coverage to Hering for the td...AND The 1st TD was set up by a 25 yard pass to the TE at the 1yard line...not to mention the 30 yard run that Hoffman made to set up the other FREAKIN TD. Lets see that is [all 4 tds that he was either "responsible for"(stats term) or set up inside the 5. Oh I also forgot that pass where Proteus almost held on when Hoffman drilled him at the 8 yard line but he took a heavy hit and lost the ball...could that have maybe been the 5th td!!!
This is the first game that SU has spread the field at all this year. Futhermore even attempted to throw over the middle. I will only address the INT at the 25 yard line in which heĀ  should have eaten the ball instead of trying to dump it to Frates as he was being hit...mistake made BIG MISTAKE!
Why don't we blame him for the penalties too that set up the GC td or lets blame him for the muffed punt that set up the other td.
Go ahead he has big shoulders after all he was the only QB to take SU to the playoffs...led SU to 4 come from behind wins...only threw for about 1400 yards last year and what 14 tds and oh I forgot was all conference HM...OPPS forgot some thing else he was SU"s most improved offensive player.
Lastly all year he has been looking at only 2 receivers going out ( one always at 5'8"?)and only throwing on 3rd down up the perimeters of the field. Tonite they finally spread the field and the other INTs came when we were obviously forcing things in an attempt to come back. On one of them it sure looked like the receiver ran the wrong route...the ball was where it was supposed to be!
Maybe you should call the GC coaches and players who made a point to come over to him after the game and tell him what an athlete he is ...I am sure even if he didn't throw any INT's you would have found something because you obviously missed all the reasons we lost tonite which every player on the field is responsible...JUST AS EVERY PLAYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERY SCORE!!! EVERY FIRST DOWN ETC ETC EVERY SUCCESS AND DISAPPOINTMENT. I forgot you probably know all this??? have a great nite. PS: by any chance at halftime were you on the Hoffman bandwagon..I remember when REDKITE jumped on that wagon last year ...nice ride wasn't it!!!
