no offense to cnu or your knowledge of the players, but if he didn't play at cnu, he won't walk on at uva, unless they want him as a scout teamer - as for what he's thinking...could be academics...uva has an ok reputation from what i hear :)

but wait...cnu fans have always said that cost WASN'T a factor in why student-athletes chose cnu, right :)...i'm just kidding (kind of), no need to rehash the private v. public thing

Narch,

A kid I played with at GC (chris shaw) walked on at UGA a fews back.  Scout team for one year and then he was at least on the kickoff team.   He has the diamonds on his finger from the conf championship they won a few yrs back.
Anyways, it can be done.

93 and the UVA kid (99) are two completely different players.  93 really could play at DI but i think 99 knows he'll never play.  not to get into the whole money thing about CNU but i couldnt turn down paying 5 or 6 G's and paying full tuition at CNU.  and narch feel free to say what you want about CNU i wont flip out
Can I have ten thousand marbles please.....

NARCH,  as a methodist grad you should know that CNU has a much better rep than UVA. CMON!!!!  ;D

yeah there was a rb from mc that walked on at florida state a few years back...returned kicks, even got some handoffs, so you're right...it CAN happen, but the likelihood is not high, especially for a dl...they are too hard to come by to slip through the cracks, in my opinion

FYI Read the front page April 1 Daily Dose "Recruiting Recap: Let's get started."  There are a couple of ODAC and USASAC schools mentioned, including Bridgewater, Emory & Henry, Guilford, Greensboro, Methodist and NC Wesleyan.

Yeah, Guilford has always been a little left of center - even when I was there over 30 years ago.  lol  It's a great school, though, and you meet all kinds of people.  If you go to school there, it's just one of the characteristics you learn to accept.  It's definitely NOT a military school or fundamentalist stronghold.  lol

hows it going guys, started back with the football thing so time is limited....just wanted to drop a line and say

READY READY MONARCHS!

MOSH
It will never end at GC. Hasanova is a little off when he says "little left of center".

Hey Papi........still alive or just blowing me off..........
Never shall I leave a fallen comrade

Actually, I chose those words carefully - sort of a classic understatement.  I don't agree with everything the school does and I certainly do not agree with every student, but I'm glad Guilford is the way it is ... and I personally hope it does, in fact, never end.  lol

Finally, called it Guilford instead of GC.

Hey, abnrgr is the one who did that - not me.  I put Guilford on purpose - I figure we don't want everyone to get mixed up on the USASAC board!  lol

AdmiralPapi

ABNRGR....still alive...but just barely...haven't been around the computer much lately...been busy with a 'ready for ops' inspection  >:(  We'll definitely have to make it to the Mullet Bucket this year, I haven't been in a couple of years.
Any fool can circumnavigate the world sober...it takes a real sailor to do it drunk!!!

some info on the mc qb competition this spring from the fayetteville observer - click here

one has a great arm, the other is athletic and the other is a real leader...too bad they can't just blend them together and make one guy :) - don't be surprised if a frosh comes in this fall to make it a 4 way competition...the coaches are after a couple of guys that they think could be special, but we're a long way from august
