Papi- I know you are hard. I was "jus messin wid ya sun".

Good friend of mine just became the lead operations officer for the CG MRST program. They gonna be hard now. You need to think about that program. Beau Coup assets in it. They are going to make it a career path.

Anyway what's those Mariners look like this year? They going to get that bucket?

Abngr/ Papi,

I saw that Hoggard had an asst coaching position open.  Looks like a pretty decent team.  I put my resignation in at Northern Nash, but I think those boys are going to have a pretty decent year this year.

Highlander,

From my perspective I think the only team that has dominated this conf is cnu and I think that is evening out right now.  Everybody else is in the mix!  This year should be interesting.

thought you liked NN. Those Knights. You think you got a shot at the coast? What are you teaching?

PREDICTION- MC 10-0
Rocket, you certainly know their personnel and coaching staff as well as anyone (and certainly better than I do!), but a 10-0 prediction is saying something!  I was thinking the Monarchs might be about 8-2 again.  What does everyone else think?

ROCKET
Great Job last year

Are you still tracking with commissioning?

Hey Drunken Sailor,

You still out there? Rumor has it you're staying put at CNU. I like that. If true, what changed your mind?

narch

papi - no qb really took the job...they all had a nice spring, but nobody rose above the others...should be a nice race right up until the season starts...competetion can't help but make everyone better

'85 - lots of interesting points - if odu goes scholly, i don't see them affecting cnu TOO much, but if they go 1-aa non-scholly, watch out...they could really get in the captains back pocket - i like the kelchner for hc talk...he'd be a great candidate

rocket - i like the confidence...the weapons are there and the defense should be improved, but there is a leadership void that must be filled...i hope you're right

Well since you asked Hasanova ;)

I believe without seeing of course,  that the first hurdle to the 10-0 regular season will be a resurgent GC-Q. Up until 2 years ago those games were close. MC will have to come up with a scheme to get Vogelbach. Vogelbach is not what they used to have....5'8" 145lbs of bones running. No offense to the others but GC-Q  did not have a field leader offensively. With a possible 50 passes coming at them (I know Narch..... 3 things happen on a pass, 2 of them bad......, beat you to it) Or it will be some scoring. Both ways probably. Vogelbach is what Rocket was 3 years ago. He brought some pride back.
"I'M WILLIAM WALLACE AND I SEE MY CONUTRYMEN HERE today READY FOR BATTLE"............. Well you get the idea. AFter GC-Q a 9-1 is possible IF those dreaded Panthers go down, otherwise Hasanova (this pains me to say  ;)) is correct 8-2 with a stop in the show.

Hey abnrgr, you said some of the things I was thinking.  I believe GCQ will be an early hurdle for MC (or MC will be an early hurdle for GCQ).  I see this as an interesting second game contest.  For now, I give GCQ an edge at QB (Vogelbach is the real deal) until I see who comes forward to fill Rocket's shoes.  MC probably has the edge on D right now AND the game is in Fayetteville.  It should be a competitive game and I'll probably drive to Cumberland County to see it.  I just don't see MC (or any other team) going through the USASAC undefeated this year - CNU, FC, MC and AU were all pretty fair last year, NCWC has built a good program, Maryville has seen everyone one time through and the odds say GCP & SU will win some of those close ones this season.

Come on, abnrgr, you know we've agreed before on this board and it didn't hurt your rep!  lol  Peace

Sailor,

Man, that didn't sound good at all. Of course things get lost in interpretation, but it sounded like some things are not in your control. Keep positive - it always works out in the end.
