Speaking of improving facilities, Narch has MC done anything recently to improve the stadium.  The last update I can remember was the track being added and the extra seats.  Are there restrooms out there yet or is it still the rent-a-jon's under the trees?

nothing to the stadium, but new locker room facilities...should be nice

that stadium has SO MUCH POTENTIAL to be really nice with a little cash...maybe a successful former fb player like yourself could drop a ton of it...I can hear it now

"ladies and gentlemen, welcome to monarch field at admiral papi stadium, home of your 2005 usasac (co) champion monarchs!"

let's make that happen :)

p.s. - i agree completely with the coaches poll

Things change throughout the season.  I think football is the one game where momentum plays the biggest part in the game. In the season and in a game. Not one person can win a game.  Just ask the New England Patriots, who built a team.  So to agree with Highlander.  The most important thing this season to win the USAS title.  TO STAY INJURY FREE.  This game is a team sport.  I think the talent in the conference is all about the same.  The team that executes more then the other will take this conference.

Uncle Jessie- My high school team ran the the zzzzzzzzzz ace-wing. it is so boring. I prefer the spread um game, one of the reasons why I went to Greensboro in the first place.

One more thing....fans....Greensboro has the worst fans in terms of getting after teams and its not just football.  If GC fans were into the sporting events as much as AU was..that could really help with outcomes of the games.  My goal is to make every game and to be as rowdy as I can.

Go Pride!!!

AdmiralPapi

As already posted all the talent in the USASAC is about equal.  I believe the most successful teams are the ones that have the best cohesiveness.  I think that's why the Patriots are so successful, they are one big family.  Staying healthy is a big part but if you get everyone on the team to believe in each other then you can survive a few injuries.

Narch if I gave MC my entire yearly CG salary it might buy one more rent-a-jon.  You could call it Admiral Papi's blue lagoon!!!  :D
Any fool can circumnavigate the world sober...it takes a real sailor to do it drunk!!!

Prideguy-
Ya I think your basketball fans are pretty rowdy tho. Being at the game last year in lovely Hanes Gym, I remember them Pride-fanatics getting after more than just a tiny bit.

PrideSportBBallGuy

Goose-

haha yeah but lets not forget this is hanes gym.  Two people in there can make it rowdy. I believe we had signs posted all over campus for the girls game, and signs for the guys game about taking down the #1 CNU.  It was the night if when the girls beat CNU to clinch the #1 seed and to win the conference.  If you are talking about the game on 2/17.

There isn't support for anything on campus really, from the cafeteria to sporting events.

I will make it change this year.  The cafeteria is just out of luck though.

Congrats to Colby Townsend on being named a pre-season All American by D3 football.com and Football Gazette.  Hopefully the Scots can use their experience to turn some of those close losses into victories this season. Can't wait until camp starts.

If there weren't almost 290 players on that Gazette team it might be meaningful.

Pat-

You know what, you are right.  Where is that they have Rob Rodriguez as honorable mention and d3football as Preseason 2nd-Team.  I agree more with d3footbal because he is a talented player.

Highlander

And also the fact that the football gazatte team always comes out after the d3 football.com team has been named. To me it is quite obivious who spends more time and has more knowledge of d3 football ( d3football.com of course.)

Just took a look at the football gazette preseason all-americans. WOW Are they trying not to hurt anyone's feelings? That my friends is a LONG DAMN LIST! I much prefer the toned down version we find on this site.

D3Newbie

And, out of  290 players, there are only TWO players from North Carolina . . . . I think Hansen is too busy with the other NCAA levels and NAIA to be able to do anything other than look at returning AA lists and All-conference lists. IMHO
