CNU 85, Im with ya on the headphones!! Although I wont be doing any yard work!! I dont know if you remember or not, but three years ago today, the Captains were playing at McDaniel in the driving rain, a 7-6 CNU victory if I remember correctly. But that weekend was a special one as my first child was born the very next morning. And I remember listening to the game on the radio and computer while the wife was laboring at home!! What a fantastic weekend that was!! So Ill be partying it up with a bunch of three year olds on Saturday!!

Oh by the way, go Capts. Lets make Pat Cummings eat his words about inconsistencies and inability to score points!!  You know im playin Pat, always enjoy reading your Around the Region!

Greensboro.  Like Maryville has really played some tough teams.  LaGrange and Centre.  I really expected more out of Maryville when they played Centre. To beat them.  Greensboro has two quality QB's this year, unlike the past.  Maryville is no Mars Hill. Plus 2 weeks to prepare for Maryville.  It should be a close game either way.  Greensboro wins it.

I notice that there are alot of Averette picks over GC-Q. History has proven that AC has had their number. You know the axion "some teams have match-up problems" but I think that monkey come off that back this week. Anyway as long as they beat those dirty Eagles. I want some pizza for the game Saturday.  Yeah the Pride will win.  I wouldn't use the phrase "walk away"  Maryville can run the football. Greensboro can't stop the run.  It won't be a 10 point win.  In fact if it is 10 or more then I would be very surprized.

Goose-Until Greensboro does have a winning season then you are right Maryville may be better.  I just hope not this week or this year.

Does anybody know the status of Matt Barcus, the CNU punter? I thought that I remembered reading earlier that maybe he had not broken anything but it was a deep bruise. I noticed that he is not listed on the depth chart this week but there is no mention of his injury in the game notes.

I heard they were looking at his knee, had an MRI scheduled...maybe an ACL? I'm sure goose will tell us when something is official. I only heard my version in a bar the other night.
