You may be right IRT the BC dreaded Panther game but GC-Q usually wins up there. I think BC blows them up

I notice that there are alot of Averette picks over GC-Q. History has proven that AC has had their number. You know the axion "some teams have match-up problems" but I think that monkey come off that back this week. Anyway as long as they beat those dirty Eagles. (said with respect Matt so don't blow a seal)
Howdy, abnrgr.  I don't know, just call it a hunch after watching Ferrum play on Sept. 2.   I think they'll be the first team to put some points on BC this year.  Bridgewater is awfully good and I think the Eagles will win, but the Panthers have had two weeks to stew over the loss to the Quakers and the six passing TDs by Vogelbach.  I think FC will give a very good effort for the home crowd.  Well, AU's "history" over GC is only two games so far, but I think it will be a close, competitive game.   I was at last year's AU game in Greensboro and Guilford was capable of winning that game, even though they were still working out the kinks with the offense and new coaches.  The Quakers have come a long way since then.  I'll be the first person to admit that Averett's had the tougher schedule so far, but Ferrum and Methodist are good teams.  In DIII, however, it just doesn't get much harder than Mount Union and Wesley back-to-back, but I don't think that means the Cougars will smoke Guilford.  I think it'll be a good game with either team capable of winning.  Go Quakers!

papi - i was going to wear the chaps to watch the bikini bull riding tonight, but thought better of it (the chaps and the bikini bull riding...nothing good can come from either when you're my age :))

predictions for the week

cnu 24 - ssu 22: the captains got some swagger back last week, and they go in to salisbury ready to roll

gcq 38 - au 34: averett falls to 0-3 and the quackers go 3-0 in the usasac

ncwc 27 - ehc 24: wasps get stung by the bishops

waynesburg 24 - su 10: i won't be picking su to win a game this year...sorry guys

b'water 48 - ferrum 8: the water has too much speed for the panthers

m'ville 21 - gc 20:  tough game to call, but i think the scots will pull out a close one

mc 24 - chowan 21: not sure what to expect from chowan with another class of scholarship players, but the monarchs have been working out the kinks from last week and will capitalize in the red-zone

ABRNGR, From what i hear Rocket is now coaching at terry sanford high school in fayetteville. He is also teaching an englsh 3 honors class, which is funny, i never thought about him being a teacher. Most of us who graduated from last years team are working now and doing pretty well for ourselves. I love coaching, and teaching with a passion.

The QB situation in MC will be handled. Bartee did not look bad against guilford, he made some very good decisions, and can move i might add. He threw the ball ok, just needs to be patient and let it develop. He had never started in a game, so that was a big issue here, now he has gotten that off his back, and i feel he will be a standout this year if he stays healthy.

I will pick MC over Chowan 28-17

I hope CNU wins it will be a another good win for the conference.  Has anyone ever seen any of Salisbury's teams games.  That campus hypes up those teams more then any school.   Even more so the Football team and Lacrosse team.  They shut down streets and the teams walk down to the field. I hope CNU doesn't get too distracted.  Salisbury in my book is one of the top D3 sport schools in the mid-altantic region.

I agree with Pride Greensboro will walk away with the win. And Goose you need to do some research before you make your pick. I say GC by 10.

I dont need research. I can make a guess based on nothing, its just one man's opinion. If they win, they win, if they lose, they lose. Its a gut feeling, dont need research for that. Ill admit it when im wrong.

Ferrum will have at LEAST 500 yards rushing against that weak BC D.

abnrgr

Ncol- Thanks. I hope you guys are well. Kids need you younger types. :)

Wrighthall-500 yards!!? I think BC handles 31-17 vice your call. GC-Q romped the Panthers....what do you think an established BC offense will do?

I guess you know something given the Eagles are your old team................

Matt Barnhart giving the Panthers the nod? The planets are out of synch ???

Ferrum 31 BC 17

That sounds about right.

Shoot. if they lose, then my dreams of the 2006 BC-GC Stagg Bowl will crumble.

;) :D

I have the audio for the Averett-Guilford game and for the Wabash-Milikin game opened on my computer.

And I already have the live update for DePauw-Hope set up as well.

I love Saturdays!!  ;D ;D

Good luck to the USAC teams this week. Especially CNU, Averett and Ferrum. Wins from you guys can really help our conference rep!

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

Wilson punches it into the endzone. Averett takes the early lead 7-0.

Guilford answers with a TD. Score tied at 7 with about 3 minutes left in the 1st.
