As for the weather, 64 degrees with an 80% chance of rain beginning overnight with NNE winds at 16 MPH. Nothing like a windy, rainy arse football game. Thank god for a press box!!!

I will be there rain or shine but i expect a nice crowd for the Pride considerin the distance

Gullet-
Even I think you are pressing your luck on a "nice crowd"  Other then parents, there will be one other person there.  Me.  That nice crowd will only put a dimple into what CNU will have there.

I just got to the thirties and meet the rest of your criteria.  Oh yeah did I read this years benefits correctly?  Are we allowed to go to presidents box at half time?

I will be at the game rain or shine.  Have not missed one this year.  As a matter of fact I got into a lot of trouble last year when my wife and oldest girl were in a friends wedding and I left the kid and wife to go to the game.  I came back to the reception and had my butt handed to me.

I can "one-up" you there Lifer. My wife's sister got married September 16th 2006. Was I there? No! I politely explained that I had over 40 people expecting Chili & cornbread at Stone Station South, Ferrum College. Gotta take care of your peeps you know! Besides her sister was supposed to get married in July, it wasn't my fault she moved the wedding into football season. :o

I can happily say, 16 Saturdays from August until December are spent tailgating and watching D3 football.  ;D

That is true but a little of support is better than none. And for those people from greensboro that cant make it i will be making the trip up there and doing the play by play on Pride Net. Here is the link for it:

Many CNU fans are older (50+) and many are over 40.

Did I say something?  Somebody took some karma away.

Anyway.  GC should have plenty alumni given that the school was built in 1838. (I guess the women don't like sports.  I sure don't see them there. ;))

Then in 1953 men were allowed to come.  We still don't see them at the games.  I think if GC had that kind of alumni support, we would fill the 10,000 people high school stadium we currently play. ;)

So I envy CNU.  I have been to basketball games up there and I am impressed with the amount of alumni at the games.

CNU 1 GC 0

I agree with you Pride I think things would be alot better if we had the support from the Alumni. Our alums are not coming out in the numbers that they need to and supporting thier Alma Mater.

Ballguy,

I admire your belief in your team! They have improved. But (you knew that word was coming) I really don't think this game will be close. If the weather is really bad and it shuts down the GC passing game...and turns into a Hilliard highlight show...it could get ugly. Although, at times Hilliard has a difficult time keeping his footing. Who really knows? we'll find out Saturday.

Given the forecast - are th GC faithful still heading up for the game?

CNU,

I think if it is raining, that it will turn into a field position game. Our punter Chirs Palme is doing a good job pinning team in deap in thier own territory. Last week at Guilford, he pined the Quakers inside the 20 3 times. He has really improved over the span of one year and that includes the field goal kicking as well. So it is going to be interesting to see if the field position battle will tell a different tell this year compared to last years game.

Ive lost 3 and i just now got on. i think it is one of the CNU people. Hey Pride when are you leaving to make the trip and where are you staying?

PrideFan1986

Hey guys here is the forcast for tommorw:

Rain / Thunder

High
68°F

Precip
80%

Wind: NNE 14 mph
Max. Humidity: 88%

UV Index: 4 Moderate

So it does look like its going to be a wet day and the battle of the field position

Do you think the weather will affect the way GC alternates QBs? Is one better in the mud? Also, how is Herbin? That could be a real key in the rain. And might we see more of Lowe lining up at QB and running? I think it will be interesting to see how the GC HC adjusts to running their offense in the rain.

BTW, as of now I have to work tomorrow - so no trip to VA.   :'( :'( I know you are all heartbroken!

I don't think it is any of the CNU people.  They actually show some class.  I am leaving between now and 3pm today.  I am staying at the Point Plaza.

D3Newbie-Don't know which QB does better in the rain. Not too sure.  We might shuffle in RB's in the whole time.  Keep them fresh.  Could see Lowe in the backfield.

Well I will give the team my best on part too.

looking at the two deep that I have he will not play. He may be able to return next week pending on the outcome of his MRI. I feel really bad for him he was having a great year and this happens to him  and if he can not come back then it will be a big loss in the Pride backfield. So lineing up in the backfield for the pride will be SO Clint Story and the second back will the FR Brandon Campbell as we all know Campbell scored the tieing touchdown one week ago to send it to OT. But, with all that being said I agree with Pride if i was the Pride coaches I would keep the freshest legs out there that I could. The awnser that i would give to you your question newbie, i would have to say that Randell Rankins would be the better QB in the rain.

It's not confined to just you guys. I've lost 3 the last couple of days and all I did was a post congratulating the Huntingdon golf team for winning a tournament. Happy to see I'm not the only one with a karma stalker.
