2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

All I needed to hear from the Pride fans has been said.  Gullet proved he was a mastermind by saying Greensboro would finish third in the conference and then listed them fourth.  Maybe that's why their INDIVIDUAL safety caught the ball on 4th down.  He thought it was only 3rd down.  And you talk about watch our film we play with class and we are a much better team.  Well I hope that is the case b/c the one and only game I saw them play this year, they didn't have any.  Anybody who kicks another player should be suspended for the year, but at least he has discipline.

Now that Ive had what, 9 hours to digest that game, I think Ill drop my two cents in.

Greensboro is definitely improved this year compared to years past. I remember CNU's first win on the road at GC was in the driving rain as well. Brought back some memories that's for sure.

I do agree with the poster who said that this game was not one to gauge GC's passing game or their pass defense, because, well, with a wet ball, you usually dont have too much success passing.

I also think this wasnt a great game for gauging how good CNU is with the run. On paper, the Pride generally doesnt do well with the run and I think on a dry surface, they may have had problems with our running game and we could have very well had problems with their passing game.

Now on field conditions. DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED. Jameson Stadium FALLS WAY SHORT IN COMPARISON to POMOCO Stadium. I hope had that game been played at your place you would have said the field conditions were WAAAAY worse than the field conditions today. You guys dont even have a tarp! So lets not go there. Can you only imagine how bad the field would have been had there not been a tarp on it? CNU pulled the tarp at 11 am and of course with all the rain it was going to get sloppy and wet. To me, you are comparing apples to oranges because CNU has the best field in the conference.

Is CNU a top 25 team?? ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY. Should they be ranked higher than 21st, maybe not. But they need to be considered. The got beat at Rowan, won at home over UMHB and defeated Salisbury, a very good program in the rain on the road.

On to next week....am I worried?? OOOOHH YEEAAAH!!! Mer'vul is coming off a huge win at Ferrum this weekend and the Captains have a 97 (exaggerating) hour bus ride ahead of them that they will be doing in two days, leaving Thursday, practicing somewhere, VMI or W&L, I cant remember, on Friday. Im afraid they will be worn out and lay an egg on this one. Im not going to think about Averett on Nov. 4 until its Oct. 29.

Do I think G'boro will finish third in the conferece, or fourth depending on which part of Gullett's post you believe, no I dont think they will finish third. They are home against Shenandoah next week, should be a W there, and then they go to Averett, there's another big L, they host Ferrum and GC doesn't do particularly well against the run, but when you are one dimensional, anything can happen, potential lose, and then finish at Methodist and at NC Wesleyan. I would be afraid of Methodist at home, especially with how well they played Averett Saturday. So I see a potential for GC to lose at least twice and maybe three more times. 4-3 or 3-4 could potentially sneak you into third, but I just dont see it happening. Ive been wrong before, so it wouldn't surprise me if Im wrong again.

That's why Im glad they decided the games on the field.

I gotta get up early and get my daughter from a 12 hour dance practice that ends at 8 in the morning......how dedicated is that? must be why she had her picture in the paper for finishing 2nd in the country at a recent competition (ok...so I'm bragging a little!!!)

later guys....let's work on the tailgate thing and make it happen!!!

Oh here's another good one about the ole GC clan. In Friday or Thursday's Daily Press, Kelchner commented on HOW BAD THE FILM WAS that they received from Greensboro from their last game. Kelchner said they could see the schemes they were running, but it was so fuzzy, much like snow when your cable goes out, that they couldnt even see who was on the field!! Oh man that was classic!!

CNU85

dang...so all i need is to donate $2500.....????? that's ok....I'll keep the extra $1500 and park 20 feet away.

And since we're on a message board: I've walked on the moon, I'm in 2 hall of fames, I've killed a lion with my bare hands, blah, blah, blah, blah. The people who we all know have actually been around football have voted CNU #21. I'll take that group over a couple of fans that are mad because the team they follow can't back up the stupid predictions they make.

A little 411 for you. The #21 rank was only in the Coaches Poll not the national poll.

cnufan

Last I checked, we were ranked in the D3football.com poll, the AFCA poll and Don Hansen's poll.
