The rain will be gone by the morning CNU 85. I just checked the forecast, although they are calling for heavy rain tonight. I also heard there is a high school game going on on the same field tonight, in the rain! So tomorrow, the field could inevitably (sp) be like crap-ola. It will definitely be soggy. But they are calling for partly cloudy skies with a temp around 67 and 20-30 mph winds!! That could play havoc with the passing and kicking games of both teams.

So I was looking at the stats and it really doesnt hurt NCW but so much. They are the conference's top rated passing offense and CNU is the conference's top rated pass defense. However, NCW does average 185 yards on the ground, so they arent totally descimated by having its passing game grounded. CNU does average 157 thru the air and only 110 on the ground, but its their defense that's going to have to step up and stop the run. Its going to be interesting if indeed the winds are that gusty. I for one cant wait to see the outcome of this one. Should make for an interesting contest to say the least.

AU- 42 SU-7- The cougars have been preparing all week for the cold weather and should be ready to win at Shentel

CNU-21 NCWC-13- Wesleyan will surprise some people today by running effectivly and pulling the linebacker and secondary of the captains in, but CNU will have too much going for them with thier team speed.

GC-10 FC-34- look for pitts and the panthers to open up this week

MC-28 M'ville-14-with AU and CNU behind Methodist they will play with more confidence and win easily

What about Methodist?  Any scores.

Looks like 30-26 Maryville over Methodist, based on Maryville's website.

Ralph Turner

A real game next week for the USASAC!

A must win for both!  I don't think that either team should count on a Pool C bid!

the m'ville/mc score is official - looks like the scots did a great job containing hill today, holding him to 50 yards on 30 attempts...parks had a nice day, leading the monarchs in rushing and throwing for 228 and 2 td's, but he did have 2 int's, one of which came when the monarchs had the ball with 2:25 left and a chance to drive for the winning score (according to the play-by-play in the box score) - m'ville didn't have a turnover today, and that seems to be the difference in the game, looking at the stats

good win for the scots...i knew they were dangerous, but i thought the monarchs had a win in 'em...gotta win 2 straight to salvage the season

box score

how about ncwc throwing a wrench into the nov 4 matchup with averett...

Narch, Parks is going to be really good.  Things didn't end the way the Monarchs would have liked, but they have to be happy with the QB situation.  Pat Doleman made some unbelievable catches today too.  It is almost a burden to have so many good wrs because he could be a showcase kind of guy.  Parks has some good weapons for next year.  It should be a much better year.  Well next week is big with the recruiting battle so I'll be there to support those Monarchs.  Good luck boys.
