All that i got to say is that it will be tough for AU to beat CNU after thier loss last week. But i think they will do it.

Gullett AU thanks you for the confidence, It's not going to be easy but I think the Cougars should come away convincing, watch out for the AU secondary that everyone thought was the worst in the league because when AU gets up the Captains will be forced to go to the air and that could be risky, for a team who is only completing 12 passes a game, and remember the cougars rank first in takeaway, giveaways in conference play with +14 almost 3 time as many as the next team (NC. Wesleyan with +5)

Awesome stat Stoppa, If I could I'd pass you mad karma!
To all newbies - don't run your mouth until the team you're pulling for wins the big game. (please refer to Eh-You's karma for more details)

Ok, lets see if we can get this blog back on track.

The frost is on the pumkin...the hay is in the barn...the muzzeloader cleaned and ready to go...the fridge is full of beer...the pantry full of chips and salsa...HS football tonight...college football tomorrow...the little lady coming over tomorrow night...you get the idea. How's that for getting a little testosterone flowing?  ;D

GO TIGERS...GO SCOTS...GO PANTHERS!!!

picks and prediction time

mc 31 - su 14 - the scots are rolling and the hornets won't slow them down

ncwc 30 - fc 15 - the bishops are riding high after a big win last week, and keep the momentum going

cnu 24 - au 17 - this will be a great game - au has an outstanding, balanced offense, and last week notwithstanding, the captains have a great defense...i think the cnu defense is a little better than the cougar offense this week, especially at pomoco

mu 31 - gc 14 - mike hill, mike hill and more mike hill...then sprinkle in a little brandon parks - the monarchs will control this game and go 1-0 as methodist university :)

cnusfinest54

damn damn I want to B at the game 2 day at good ol pomoco. But I instead I'm in maryland this weekend  2 watch my other favorite team play the cowgirls. But its cool at least 1 of my favorite teams will make the playoffs this year. we got the cougars n our backyard and that spells trouble 4 the visitors. LOL the caps  r terrible host. 16 conf teams have come and only 1 has left happy.

GO CAPS GET R DONE

I like the MC/SU pick. "Rolling" might be a little strong but heck, I'll take it. They didn't do too much rolling against CNU a few weeks back. Only the 2nd HC I have missed at MC since 1983.  :( The Scots can't overlook SU but if they can get the W today, perhaps they can upset AU's apple cart next week like they did Huntington last year.  ;D
Players to keep an eye on. MC's Hightower. The kid can play and as far as I can tell, he is a good kid too. If he stays 4 years and stays healthy, he will leave his mark on MC and USA South football.

GO SCOTS!!

Finest - what kinda fan are you? The deadskins don't play until sunday...or I should say - they don't take the field until Sunday......you could make both games......disappointment abounds!!  ;D

have fun!

Narch like I've tried to preach to everyone this week while everyone is looking at the match up between CNU's Defense and the Cougar offense mark my words the game will be won or lost when the AU's defense takes the field vs the CNU offense. It might be debateable if the AU offense of CNU Defense is better but there is no doubt that the Cougars defense is better than the captains offense.

AU17 CNU 14 11:50 left in the 2nd

Leatherhelmet

9:35 left 2nd Q 21-17 CNU.

Thank you whoever invented webcasts. For those of us who live
many states away we can still follow our teams.  Both teams are
lighting it up on offense. Cougars have the ball in their own territory.

Leatherhelmet

Narch,

were you picking the AU/CNU halftime score? LOL.
Now 24-21 Cougars, still 4 minutes to go in the half
and CNU on the AU 45.
