Hey I thought the USA South would get three soccer teams in!!

I think the Capts travel and Im starting to believe more and more by the minute that they will be wheels up on a plane thursday or friday for Hardin-Simmons. Deep in the  HEART of TEXAS!!!

Congrats to CNU and AU.  Great seasons.  My Scots are getting better.  Their young, only 4 starters grad out this year.  So, maybe next year we'll be more competitive.  I read these post often.  However, this is my first post.  I normally don't complain alot or make many predictions, although I do have my opinions.  However, I was really disapointed with the AU fans this past saturday.  There were alot of rude, crude and uncalled for comments from the AU fans.  I have no porblem with being excited and pulling for a team. I even enjoy old fashion ribbing between fans.  However, college football is no place for the comments I heard yelled out Saturday.  I feel very confident that MC fans would not allow this kind of classless stuff to take place at our home field. I will return in two years for another great game. Maybe the jerks, I ment gentelmens, kids will be gone so we want have to endure comments this classless the next go round.  Have a great off season and goodluck to all next year.

I dont like to look ahead, but if CNU wins and UMHB wins, it will mean three meetings between the Capts and UMHB in what, about a year!

Football To Host Washington & Jefferson In First Round Of NCAA Playoffs

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Christopher Newport's football team, coming off a 55-7 win over Ferrum to clinch the USA South's automatic bid into the NCAA Playoffs, will host Washington & Jefferson this Saturday at POMOCO Stadium at 12 pm.

The Presidents went 9-1 in the regular season and 6-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference and received an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. This will be the third time these two teams have met, with all three meetings coming in the NCAA Tournament.

Washington & Jefferson won both meetings at home and this will be the first time the Presidents and the Captains will meet in Newport News. Washington & Jefferson defeated CNU in the Captains second season back on November 23, 2002, 24-10. The second meeting came two years later when the Presidents were again victorious, this time by a score of 24-14.

The Captains are a perfect 5-0 at home this and are 24-7 all-time at POMOCO Stadium. CNU finished the regular season with an 8-2 overall record and 6-1 in the USA South. The winner of the CNU/Washington & Jefferson match-up will meet the winner of the Mary Hardin-Baylor/Hardin-Simmons game on Saturday, November 25.

It appears they caught the mistake Ralph!!

I am not claiming infallibility, but I prefer to believe that the SID knows and trusts the information on these sites as something to double-check when a possible error has been cited. :)

Congrats to the Captains for getting a playoff game at POMOCO!

You never know Ralph!! They may have been writing it in haste or forgot, as I did, the PAC does not have an automatic bid!!

CNU85

plus the CNU website is always written in haste...always errors...such as the article about CNU winning yesterday.....they get the playoff bid "do to" beating AU in the head to head.....I don't think the CNU writer is an English major...  ;) :D ;D :o :P

My first thought is to give hard-working SID's credit.

Now as for the ability of the NCAA to execute a playoff according to the Handbook... :-\ ??? ::) :-X >:(
