Any fellow season ticket holders know how CNU is going to handle tickets for this weekend? I have already called and left a message for the ticket office. Should I assume that we will get first right or refusal for our seats??? Any input would be appreciated.

Has anyone been over to the new alumni house? I tailgated there yesterday and it was a blast  ;D

I forgot to mention that I am as surprised as anyone that we are hosting a playoff game. I fully expected a trip to TX. But I'll take it.  ;D

captains...take care of business AT HOME this weekend - that's outstanding stuff! i think the capts have a very legit shot at getting throught to texas

prideguy - i understand that you said WISHES - i WISH i would win the lottery, but i don't post about it because i know it's not a reality (and i'm not a member of a lottery message board, either), just as the usasac sending 2 teams to the ncaa football tourney this year was not a reality

Hey Scots71,

I was there but was sitting right behind the team in that area. Didn't hear anything out of the way. If you can send me a regular email (see profile) and let me know where the rudeness was coming from, I can pass this on to the right folks that may or may not be able to address in the future.

i've seen this in the past, as well, from averett - this year was not so bad...the thing that stood out to me was how football ignorant (yet vocal) some of the au fans were and how they constantly yelled "home cooking" as though officials really care about the outcome of the game...but 2 years ago there was a group of students who pretty consistently berated the monarch sideline with inappropriate and sometimes very personal attacks...if i remember correctly, the mu ad went and stood with a security guard on the track between the fans and players - i think he had to do something similar against gc toward the end of the game this year...these are examples of why mu needs to erect visiting bleachers on the other side of the field, more than an attack on the fans from these schools, though

I think season ticket holders get first dibs on their seats for playoff games, tcheadhunter. Kudos to you for leaving a message, hopefully that is the way its handled.

I hope this isn't considered two or three days too late, but this is the first real chance I've had to say congratulations to CNU on your trip to the playoffs! I'm certain that the team will represent the conference very well. And the opening playoff game is without a doubt a winnable one -- especially at Pomoco!

Also, it's worth giving praise to Averett on its share of the conference crown. I've been pushing Averett all year (no secret there), and I'm happy that the season was a good one for the team. Though there's no postseason for the AU players and coaches to look forward to, this is definitely a season they can be proud of.

NC Wesleyan and Maryville put their marks on the map. There's some young players there, and it wouldn't surprise me to see them both in the Top 3 spots of the USA South next year. I still can't believe that the Bishops lost their four games by a total of 10 points. I look forward to seeing how the potential pans out for the Scots and Bishops.

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

CNU season ticket holders will have until Wednesday to claim their tickets for this weekend. You will need to call the ticket office and provide a credit card. Starting Thursday all tickets are up for grabs. Cost is $13 for chair backs and $10 for bleachers.

It also sounds like the Alumni Society will be hosting another tailgating function at the new Alumni House. The house is located directly behind the endzone. See you there!!!

Congrats to CNU take care of W&J. I know you havent had much success in the playoffs in past history, but its time boys. Show the rest of d3 what we are about in this conference and win some big ones. Boys, just a little insight. If you get through the first one, the second round could be the same team you have beaten already this year. Do your thing fellas.

And the story continues for this conference. Will we ever have a single conference champ. Good job AU, you deserve it. Hughley, props to you man, you are a fantastic athlete and they are lucky to haver had a player with your heart and dedication.

Looking to next year, Monarchs are young, but talented. Work hard in the offseason and get the job done first in the weight room.

What is your criteria/thought process on util?

MCol51

Narch, i agree with your predictions i was goin to go through all the stats and post my own choices but you did it for me. I also like hughley for OPOTY. He deserves it.

Defensive lineman All-conference

DE- Colby townsend-MC

DE- Deshaun Parker- CNU

DT- John Northern- MU

DT- Travis Kivett- NCWC

Now as far as linebackers go, im not goin to suggest who i want there because i know it will bring some attention to it and people would say that i only done it because i went to methodist but i will make a mock one just to see what people  think.

LB- BLake Farrell
LB- Daryl Lawerence
LB- Chris Gauntlett

Those three are my predictions of who should get all-conference on the defensive side of the ball. But i dont pick em, the coaches do. so we will see.
