ok I found my rules on the USASouth Basketball Board.

As many of you all know, since most will be here when basketball starts.  I set up a few posting rules for myself.  Again most of you know, I don't back down when people confront me.  To save my heart (history of heart problems in the family  ), I will use these rules when people confront me about the pride and in general:


1) If you talk bad about a coach or a player, usually I defend them.  If you talk bad I will smite you.  I have that power. (This won't happen all the time, but I will judge it).

2) When you do talk bad about a coach or a player,  I will follow with, use your resources and channel it elsewhere.

3) I will congratulate all teams on victory. I will congratulate players of the week, and debate who should have gotten it.

4)  I will ask questions about things that have happened in box scores, be more of a statistical approach.

Greensboro isn't used to having avid posters on these boards.  They just aren't ready as the rest of the schools in the conference.  I will respect that and take it easy.

I know Greensboro did do it for that reason, but it is not documented as much as Shenandoah.

It was in 1996 and 1997. You just weren't paying attention then.

Oh I was and I know, but the national coverage wasn't as huge as Shenandoah's national coverage. We can't forget that Greensboro was once the Greensboro Hornets.  Many rumors that surround on the reasons why the name was changed.

No. It took Greensboro to start the trend of schools adding football for enrollment purposes. It wasn't a trend until others started doing it.

The real reason then for SU to add football wasn't to help enrollment or to win championships.  Football was added for the sole purpose for GC, with a all time record of 29-69, to dominate SU.  GC has 15 conference wins, 5 are SU.

I think the (re)building is over.  GC I think finally has a good core group of players.  Most aren't those transfers that Narch hates.  Enough players that are tired of losing. I am not talking taking the conference, but I am saying finally competing.

There is no offer of season tickets at Greensboro.  The fans are mostly students and parents of players.  Which costs nothing.  Football season can't come any sooner.  I keep have dreams about this season.  There were 9000 fans in one dream.  Clearly a dream because we didn't draw 9000 total fans at home last season.  I am not complaining because I get to sit wherever I want    The other fans are at a loss, not me.
