CNU 85... I wasnt taking jabs.  I just thought the premier team in our league could do a little better than that.

The mascot thing is kindov wierd this year at gc.  The uni has changed several times since I played.  When football started they got rid of the old mascot (the hornets)...Then the jersey change to the new style, now we are in all white (including white helmets).  Maybe the white helmets will help with the heat in the summer?

Hopefully the changes and colors bring some more w's.

Allsky,
Kickers are lame.  I have never seen a kicker lay anybody out.

Roll Pride!

Great article on Maryville's Rommel Hightower. As I have stated previously, this kid can play.

not bad, not bad at all...i can't WAIT for football season to start...i was coming home from a little get-together tonight and saw the lights on at the local high school football field and i'm starting to feel it a little...football is in the air boys-n-girls...

CNU85

yeah...i'm pumped too.....i'm a vikings fan and at least tonight they look good...3 td on defense.....love it....plus i bought season tickets for cnu this week and then dished out for a spot on the plane with the team for the umhb trip.......love it!!!

I walked across the parade field the other day after the grass had been cut and it was about 105 degrees, all I could smell was two-a-days!!!
Any fool can circumnavigate the world sober...it takes a real sailor to do it drunk!!!

i only played until 9th grade....but man, I do remember the long practices in the heat. I played in a league on an Air Force base. We had a good team. I remember when practice was over and we were drained.....I would wait for about 30 minute to "rest". Then I'd hop on my bike and ride the 4 miles home off base........

then I remember the practice that ended with busted bones and a trip to the hospital.....at least my mom came to get me and I didn't have to ride my bike that day.....or any other day after that!!   ;D

I did make a short attempt to hook on with my high school team my junior year......that didn't last long.....2 years prior we were state champs, we had 2 Parade All-Americans.....serious stuff.....After being out for a few years, I couldn't kep up with the speed. We ran a wishbone and our qb and RBs also set a national record in the 4x100 relay. all 4 went to d1 schools on scholarship - 1 rb had a track scholarship to UCLA, 1 went to VMI, one to Ohio State and one to Penn State......The OSU guy played 13 years in the NFL

oh well....a small trip down memory lane......time to go take out the trash or someting mundane.

CNU85

and it all started with papi's comment about the smell of fresh grass and vomit

I couldn't tell from Saturday's scrimmage if the Scots defense is suffering this year or if the offense is so good with 9 back that it just made the defense look that way.

This far in and nobody's quit - has to be a record. The roster actually went up one as trasnfer Patrick Slay (corner) arrived Friday. (younger brother of UT basketballer Ron Slay).

Any word on the kicking situation at Methodist yet?

My question to you is how do figure this quote. The Pride didnt loose a single guy on defense this past year so I am going to say because how experenced they are going to be one of the top defenses in the USA South

Just some friendly banter with mosh as he is a GC fan. No offense intended to the GC lb's. (pun intended  :D) I'm sure they are a fine bunch.  8)
