Congrats to CNU on the#12 spot in poll and NCWC 4 votes. I am south regions new Mount St. Joe fan, why did they lose votes? 2TD passes in one game only 5 more to match last seasons total and thier great RB, Lovell didn't even play most of the game. I move on, I seriously thought I was watching CNU play, MSJ away uniforms look almost identical to CNU's home uniforms.  I would like to see that game between those schools.

It was good to see the big jump in the polls for the USASouth means we are getting some respect. However to play devil's advocate its not too often where you see an unranked team lose to a ranked team and still manage to get votes for a poll. I still believe that NCWC will not win the conference I might be a little more convinced that NCWC has a great shot if they blow out Emory & Henry in two weeks or Widener this weekend. I don't see that coming though.  This first weekend was upset weekend across the country.  One game is never enough, unless you are Mt. Union

Big Ten fans in OH want Michigan to drop the Big Ten Conference, and join the MAC.  This way they will have a conference full of Michigan Schools.

85 I'm not to far away, I work in Williamsburg and I just bought a home in the outer area of Richmond.  Mom still lives in good old King & Queen county so I'm not trying to move too far from the old lady.  ;D ;D

I'm planning to drive down from Dallas for the game Saturday.  It's played in a big Texas high school stadium.

I'll probably sit on the visitor side.  I'll be wearing my D3football.com hat.  Stop by and say hello.  I'll keep up on the posts until then.  It should be a great college game.   UMHB always has a large crowd.

Great Job this week by CNU, and NCWC. I was a little shocked at how well ncwc played, i thought they might be overwhelmed by wesley being number 6 and all that other nonsense. They did a great job up there. CNU, excellent as always, rowan has a history of being a good football program, and you dominated the game in every facit.
As for the Averett fans, well, not too much can be said that hasnt already. They were playing the number 1 school in D3, and it goes to show that mistakes can kill you. they set a new record by scoring 52 points in the first quarter, heck some schools dont score 52 points in a game.
I think the conference will be as i have said all along, it will be between ncwc and cnu. I think this maybe the year we have finally have one outright champion, it will be one of those two schools. Great job and excited about conference play!
GO MONARCHS!! 2005 Conference Champs!

Hey to all the Methodist fans.  If any of you plan to be in Fayetteville Sept. 8 for the Guilford game, I'd like to say hello.  I met narch when the Quakers played basketball at MU last December, but it would be nice to see him again and meet some other Monarch fans.  With luck, I'll be there an hour or so before kickoff and have some lunch at my car in the parking lot.  I didn't travel to Fayetteville last year, but did make the trip in 2004.  Looks like the Quakers agreed to play the Monarchs two years in a row in Fayetteville to get back to a balanced 5 home and 5 away schedule, so we look to see you in Greensboro next year!

Based on past history, I expect to see the Quakers pass a ton on Saturday.  It should be interesting!

Nova, not sure if I'll be heading that way or not.  It all depends on the weather...I'll be fishing if I can but if the weather is going to be snotty I may had up to the 'Nam and check out the game.

Well, if you make the game, give me a shout.  I'll give you a PM to let you know how to spot me.  Fishing or football - looks like you can't lose either way!  :)  Even though it's your home game, right now I might give a slight edge to the Quakers based on having one game under our belt and Guilford's experienced passing game.  What do you guys think?

Well as we all know 6 points just wont win you too many games in any league. Pee-Wee to the NFL. I cant belive that the Hornets lost in the final 5:00 minutes of the game. The defense played great. Like last year they gave it all they had but the offense let them down at the end. Bridgewater is this week. I'm just hoping the Hornets can make it entertaining to watch on Saturday night. On a side note CUA's field turf look great. I wish SU would install that soon at Shentel. Its been talk about it at times but not real sure how serious it is. Anyone know if any other school in the USAC have been talking about installing that surface in the future? Here are Winchester Stars article about the game against CUA. http://www.winchesterstar.com/article_details.php?ArticleID=816

"Shenandoah head coach Paul Barnes said the Hornets' offense never should have put the defense in a situation where one play could lose the game. The defense certainly did its part leading up to the touchdown, as Shenandoah picked off Catholic quarterbacks four times (Ricca three, backup John Jacobs once) and held the Cardinals to 2.7 yards per rushing attempt."Robert Niedzwiecki

kickerdad,

I need your help with something. I don't know what to do and it's serious. Saturday night my daughter went to the home of a football player from her school to watch the Tennessee/California game with friends.......here's the part I'm struggling with....he's the kicker!!! What should I do?....I was thinking about taking her car away from her!!!

:D ;D :D :D ;D

Take the car and ground her. You may want to go shoot the bum in the foot as well.

Being a former Fighting Scot kicker myself and spending a few years in East Tn, the real question here is....is she a Vol fan?  ;) :D
MAN....how about those Cal skill guys?  :o
