Allsky,
It seems that Maryville is finally beginning to perform in all athletic endeavors with the same amount of success that the school has seen in the academic realm for many years. IMHO, I believe that it is great to see all of the teams finding success. Having a strong athletic dept. can only do positive things for the institution as a whole. I, like you, would not trade my memories or experiences for anything in the world. To the point that my better half doesn,t always understand just how deep my feelings lie. But, we have to forgive her- she went to a large public university nearby. ;)

Guess we'll have to cut your "better half" a little slack. As I stated in a previous post, not everyone can be as enlightened as we are.  ;)

You just have to know going into it that nobody is perfect  ;) and remind her that MC has more wins this year than UT...

Old Ref

Smith Reed.....will you be in RM today....see you !

Smith Reed

Old Ref, I'll see you there!!!!
My weekly predictions:
CNU over MC
AU in a mild upset against GC
NCW beats SU - they better watch out for SU' s scrappy defense and they
should not be looking ahead to CNU next week. Remember: THIS BALL IS
NOT ROUND!!!!!!!
GO BIHOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow...another close game with Methodist. I guess my preseason prediction was close. I had it 17-14, CNU. Final today was 24-17 CNU.

NArch - I told you it was gonna be a close, fun game to watch.

The MU QB sounded pretty good on the radio.

CNU RB Thomas was a beast. Can't wait to see final stats....he might have broken CNU record for rushing yds in a game which was 215 (MU computer with stats wasn't working).  Too bad he was hurt at the start of 4th QT....he may have finished up with close to 300 if he played the entire game. Not bad for the third guy on the depth chart.

Next week's game is on the clock.....NCW @ CNU. Homecoming weekend, conference championship very well could be on the line (Ferrum still lurks). I expect over 5,000 at POMOCO.

Funny thing happened today...I get my football "man card" stamped again. I was out running errands (timed that way so I could listen to the game on radio). I had to run in to the locally owned pharmacy. I was about to leave when the owner came up and said, "see those people walking across the parking lot? It's the Governor". He was coming to buy school supplies, then he was going to deliver them to a charity that distributes the supplies to those who need it.

I said, ok, cool, whatever. As I was leaving the store, the governor was coming in....I kinda pushed the door wider so one of his minions could grab it and I kept heading to the car....the game was on the radio....I didn't have "time for Tim". It was the CNU Captains in a close game, on the radio!

CNU85

I think there's a Hasanova poem in the making about that story!

CNU85

somebody let me know when stats are available from the game

narch

'85 - it was a very good game and fun to watch...the capts and #20 were too much in the end, but the monarchs were certainly game - gotta play with the kids...i'll have more tonight

CNU85

thanks narch...enjoy the "chiddren"

Papi
That Chad Hall (TB) of Air Force had another 170 yds today.

Something about a college football game during the day in the fall......................Last one this year.

Moving out.......... drawing fire.......... next week
Never shall I leave a fallen comrade

CNU85

wow...254 yds for Mike Thomas in 3 quarters! I hope he does it again next week!

14-12 GC over AU at the half. I think I have the teams right on the score....the webcast is not clear. It's 14-12 somebody...pretty sure it is GC.
