I am kinda sorry about my rant IRT offcials.

But it was a relief valve. They make me so damn mad.

Well anyway fellow posters I am off for train up at Camp Lejuene NC for follow on service to IRAQ. I will be out of the net until about the end of NOV. Then I will give the skinny on D10 Iraqi football leagues. No one has explained the use of a frag as a ball to play with but they will learn. ;)

It will hurt this former Ranger to have to live with Marines but hey...it's the only war we got.

If I am not bumped off too quick I will give you te low down. Keep the faith.

Anyone at Honaker can generally find me around the pressbox after about 11:30 or 12 depending on how late the Friday night games went. If there's a cold one in the parking lot please let me know and I'll divert my morning. :D

I'm counting on CNU85 (who i think I just volunteered for the job ;D) to text me updates of the game at POMOCO since we're wireless-less in Murvul.

You can't compare scores but you can compare speed. Scots were even to a quarter step behind CNU speedwise, where as NCW was constantly 1/2 step to two steps ahead on both sides of the ball. I'd trust in Kelchner's scheme rather than hoping for a track meet you won't win. 8)

NARCH- I hope you are right. I will have to agree with you. If the defense plays well, i think the monarchs can pull off the upset. They need this one for a morale booster. One other question. Delapp and I will be down for the SU game on NOV.10, where is this tailgating happening at? I wish they would have had it while we were there for all the fans besides just allowing parents to eat. The deans were so worried with things happening they were scared to let anyone get a little crazy. Its good for the future of the program. I will be bringing down 2 players of mine with me from my football team. 6'7 305 lb Left tackle, and 6'1 195 lb DB. Both kids are very good athletes and want to play somewhere close to home. So i told them to come down and see the campus and a game and meet coach sypult. Should be good!

Tailgating (as most of us know it) pretty much didn't use to exist at MC. ( Maryville College  ;)) I think they finally realized that when alums come back and have a good time,  they are more generous with their donations.  ;D Winning doesn't hurt either.  :o

Battered....I'll be looking for you. I assure you there WILL be a cold one in the parking lot.  ;)

I picked NCW in the pick ems because I feel like their speed will be the difference. I must confess though that my gut feeling was to go with CNU. That POMOCO streak does have to end sometime doesn't it?  ???

abnrgr - make it home safe...from your excursion with papi and from iraq...papi doesn't know how to count...a few means 10-12 to him :)

mcftbl_51 - you've gotta change your screen name to muftbl_51 so you don't confuse all those murvul boys :) - the tailgating happens directly across from the stadium in that little parking lot beside the student center - it's not a crazy scene...more of a family deal - last week mu clubs and orgs were selling brats, sausages, bbq ribs, etc. pretty cheap (i got a plate with sausage, potatoe salad and grilled corn on the cob for $4 and it filled me) - they've got tables set up and there was an inflatable and face painting for the kids and the cheerleaders & pep band performed the fight song on the way into the stadium...pretty cool atmosphere and something i hope sticks around

narch....you referring to MC or MU tailgating? If you are talking about MC, then you are in the wrong spot. The east endzone is usually pretty good for HC. There and the small parking lot on the SE corner of the field. If you are really brave, you can try the W end of the stadium where all the tree cutting lunatics hang out.  :D I have a Maryville shirt you can borrow if you want to blend in.  ;)
