Rain hasn't started falling too hard yet around my place. I'm sure it'll get worse.

I'm hoping to brave the weather to take in two games today. I'm going to swing by for the Ferrum and Emory & Henry matchup en route to the Greensboro and Guilford Souper Bowl.

Looking forward to seeing how these teams handle the muck! I just hope everyone stays injury-free amid it all :)

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

Ryan,

I think you will be ok. I'm looking at the weather right now. By game time out in that part of the world, Hanna will be long gone. I think it is going faster than they expected. It's not raining right now. We're getting a break between bands.

The break made me think for just a few brief moments about jumping in my Jeep and driving to Danville to get hooked up with Stone Station. I could get there just before kickoff. It looks like the rain will stop by kickoff. However, common sense took over when I realized I would have to drive riht through the eye of Hanna to get there.

Maybe I'll check the schedule for 7pm games and see how many are within a few hours drive. There's always the NCW game tomorrow......but nah...sunday belongs to the NFL and fantasy leagues.

Ditto. Yesterday the weather channel had a picture of a USCG small boat from NC out in some nasty waves (nasty for me....fun for Papi). I wondered if Papi was in that pic. A prayer that he is safe has been made.

Well, It's almost 11:30 and here comes Hanna. The center isn't too far away from here. So far it's been a little windy and some rain. Looks like the nasty stuff is just across the river headed this way in a few minutes. Everyone lucky enough to see a game, keep those of us with withdrawal pains posted on your game. Anyone traveling - be safe.

I see the rain is over in Danville and down towards the Methodist game.

Allen C,

Were the two trips to the d zone the TD amd missed FG? Or do they have the TD, missed FG, AND two trips in the red zone with no points? IF the latter, what happened? Turnover, Downs, Half?

I am not really sure as the broadcast started late...due to techical difficulties,(I think the two guys broadcasting are rookies) but it seems that the Panthers opened with the ball, and the drive stalled, punted, and then stopped E&H forcing them to punt. FC then drove down and was stopped in the Red zone, and missed a makable FG. Kicked a line drive wide left.
E& H went down and scored, then FC answered with a drive starting from their own 8, and scored. Mike Vann had a huge run on that series.

I lost the broadcast after that , but picked it back up with < 2 mins left in the half. 13-7 at that point.

What exactly is the Karma points on this board?

E&H started the second half at Ferrum's 30. They turned it over on downs at the 28. BIG effort by the Panther D!

Allen,

thanks...Keep us posted on scores.

Karma=head games. don't worry about them. It's similar to passing a note to a girl in third grade....

Ferrum seems to be alternating quarterbacks Dobson and  Marcus Mayo.

I think Mayo has been in only about two series. He stepped in during the 2nd qtr after Dobson coughed up the ball on a sneak.

On another note: An absolute ton of penalties by both teams....

E&H just scored on a Ferrum fumble. 19-7. PAT hasn't yet been attempted
