I don't like the idea of rewarding a player before the season. End of the season rewards are good enough for me.

I just wanna know what the possibility of getting a fake birth certificate/ SS# so I can go back and play four more years. Maybe I could return to a different USA south team as Fernando Carlos Jorge Alberto Santiago Jones.  :-\

Seriously though, when I get my papers straight. I coming back!

Unless the vote was conducted after the first week of Pre-Season Camp.

And at that point, you'd probably be looking at a third party to make the picks because my guess is that there's not a coach out there who would want to be spending his time voting to highlight other teams' athletes when he should be on the field working with his own.

If something like this would ever take place, maybe SIDs would fill the void? A media panel? Narch, CNU85 and a handful of darts?

Narch - he called us Darts! Is that good?  :D

An offensive and defensive player of the year would be easy to pick since the top players usually return.

Unfortuntely, I don't even think this is even a safe thing to say. If you would've asked me in July, I very likely would have chosen CNU's Jesse Bradshaw as the offensive player of the year. But as we all know, despite being a great player, he didn't come back to the school. D-III just has so many variables, from money and desire to academics and injury.

Another example is last year for Kickoff 2007 in the ODAC, I had picked H-SC's then-quarterback to the be the breakout player of the year for the conference. That was just days before Week 1. Then things went down just before the start of the season, and that player didn't play. Sure, a H-SC quarterback was the bearkout player of the year, just not to the QB that I picked  :) :-\

Who is that Crazy Ryan Tipps guy posting on here??? Man does he even know what he is talking about?!?  Ha ha!!

5226, according to D3football.com.
That's incorrect, the capacity is listed at 4,200 in the media guide. I do know they've added quite a few bleachers (obviously) for tomorrow's contest. Could end up being in the 5500 range would be my guess. All the seats are gone, as CNU85 mentioned.

WOW!! I did not realize that Greensboro College football was so popular in Virginia!!  Way to go Pride!! ;D

Now - who is it we're playing?  ;)                     jk :-*

today will tell me a lot about the monarchs for the rest of the season...a nice win today would make me feel a whole lot better and give me hope for mu at least playing a spoiler roll...a loss today and i think it signals that the monarchs will only be favored in one game going forward - unfortunately it's fall break and there probably won't be many monarch fans on-hand to see it (including myself...i'll be watching my daughter cheer on the mighty-mite yellowjackets :)...at least it's football, right?)

monarchs...run it well and stop the run
