CNU looked pretty solid today all around. A thing of beauty. TD's through the air, TD's on the ground. Defense shut the run down and hassled the QB all day. Keep it up boys and bring on Maryville.

Captains come away with a win against a Greensboro team that I can't say anything positive about.  Still I don't think CNU has played a solid game yet this season. Score could have very easily been 60+ to 0.  When your first 2 possessions start inside the 50 and you only come away with 2 field goals, that won't suffice against a decent team let alone a good one.  Good thing CNU is a state school and 5,000+ people come to support them or I don't think they could have pulled it out against the high powered attack of Greensboro. At times it looked like their offense was just praying that CNU would get a penalty to gain a first down.

I take back not being able to say anything positive about Greensboro because I was impressed with the play of Brick Crowder(spelling). He's a tough kid that makes a lot of plays and he has to because Greensboro's D had to have been on the field for 75% of the game.

Good luck Captains next week at Maryville and congrats to Ferrum and Averett on their wins today.

Congrats to my boys from CNU, big win today fellas.  Wish I wouldve been there.  Celebrate tonight and start getting ready for the boys from Tennessee.

...well, the monarchs ran the ball well today with 182 yards on 29 carries...unfortunately they didn't stop the run (au had 191) and they turned the ball over 4 times (all interceptions)...i just hope these boys don't mail it in for the rest of the season

cnu63,  you did ok. You got 2 out of 3. Like most people you had M'ville winning. I blew that one too. PFS and CNU85 got em all. I went back through and added up all the picks since I started posting the pick ems. 63 I don't think you made picks the 1st week I ran a pick em so youre a bit behind.      Congrats to Ferrum. Good win for the Panthers yesterday. I knew it would be a battle but I thought the Scots would make the plays in the 2nd half when they needed to. Instead, Mayo made the plays. The kid can play!! He made numerous big plays yesterday purely on athletic ability. IMO...take him off the field and the game might still be going on. 
     Looking forward to seeing Legends Rock, old friends and teammates, and the Fighting Scots take on CNU next Saturday. It will take a huge effort to beat a very good CNU team.
     
     * Note to CNU players and coaches. Ya'll take the week off. Get in a trip down to VA Beach. Go ahead and start celebrating being USA South champs. The Scots probably won't even show up. And that tired feeling you will get Saturday has nothing at all to do with the long, long, extremely exhausting bus ride down to "hillbilly" land.
