Well, I will stir the pot some more.

Predictions for tomorrow:

Methodist  vs.  Shenandoah -    Shenandoah - they are better
                                                       than their record.

Greensboro vs. NCWC         -     NCWC - may be a blow out

Maryville vs. Averett            -      Averett - Do you think I
                                                        would pick Maryville. Besides
Averett has been playing good ball
the past three weeks. Hell, we put
a scare in CNU for a couple of
                                                        minutes in the 4th.

Ferrum vs. CNU             -            Ferrum Seen both and I truly
believe this is going to be close. But
my madness for picking Ferrum is
"Speed". CNU I think is bigger on
the line, but I think Ferrum has more
speed and CNU isn't going to be able
to stop the option all day and stop
the passing attack at the same time.
Averett had Ferrum bottled up in the
1st half and actually led at halftime
but couldn't stop Ferrum in 2nd half.
Some will say the field conditions was
the cause but Averett was able to stay
with CNU even thought the running back
got over 200 yds. Not to mention 80 of
those came on one play and I think he
broke another one for 40 or 50.

Anyway, this will cause 85, 33 and 9 to have heartburn but they know they kicked our butts so, they won't dwell on it long.

Hey, I didn't make the nickname up.  I think Mario Marin RB #31 was the 1st to call me that back in 2002. I think it was partly due to the fact that I was crazy and partly due to my form when I ran the ball. Who knows. Regardless it seemed to stick and I wanted the old players to know who I was on this board.

Kickerdad, I don't get no stinking hearburn! haha. Don't you know how we spell relief? P-O-M-O-C-O ! I agree the option will be hard to stop. My one question is : what passing attack? I predict a combined total of about 10 passes completed at the days end. Just smash mouth, true grit, hard nosed football. Gotta love it.

My apologies, I had a brain fart, they just run the option all day. They did intercept us 3 times. Maybe that was why I was thinking they could pass the ball (we would pass and they would catch it and run)  ;D

They also have one hell of a punter. great hang time and lots of distance.

One of these days I will learn how to use the Quote Box and make it look like I know what I am doing. But what do you expect from a beat up old offensive center.

Damn what am I doing wrong.  ??? ???
You are not going to end of the box, after the last   "  [/  quote]   "   before you begin typing.

The typing is ending up in a previous quote.   ;)

Crazylegs,

Are you the one who had a family member always yelling from the stands, "PUT IN NUMBER 33"?

Originally from Mecklenburg County Va, but finished H.S in Williamsburg (Lafayette 1978) Moved here when I was 15. I have lived in a lot of different places in VA., but am back here now as my Mom needs to have someone a little closer. She is 82.

Did you see the D3.com playoff projections? Looks like Pat has CNU in against Muhlenburg. Win or lose, thats a tall order for CNU or Ferrum.

I really think it will be a good game. Ferrum is not as bad as they looked against NCW.

AHA...LHS...the home of Lawrence Taylor, Ron Springs, and I think one other NFL guy - kick returner... forgot his name.

I believe you are referring to Mel Gray.  ;)

How you know that 85?  ;D That used to drive me nuts. But when the whole section started chiming in it was really funny.

LT was a year ahead of me, and Ron Springs was several ahead of me. He was on the team the first year LHS opened (73?). That year, they went to the State Championship, and played at William and Mary.....and lost.

Did not really know LT,  Just when I saw him. Poor Ron Springs, the last I heard he was in a coma...Dont know if he is still living or not, but I think I would have heard if he died.

Well I am home from work, and it's time to start getting ready for tomorrow.

Almost forgot my picks-

MC @ SU    SU by 14  28-14

GC @ NCWC   Bishops Roll 48-7

Maryville @ Averett     Home field gives it to the Cougars 16-13

Ferrum @ CNU          A game that can go either way...FC too much for the Captains in the second half.   FC 28  CNU 24   Did you think I would not pick the Panthers?

How do we stand for the picks so far?

BEWARE THE BLACK HATS!

kickerdad

Mine are already out there from earlier.

crazylegs33

I'll try to find time to add all the pick ems up. Ive been slacking on that. Look for it sunday maybe saturday afternoon. Unless I'm sulking after the game.

My picks:

MC v. SU                     SU wins 24-16
GC v. NCWC                NCWC wins  topping 50, GC might get 10
M'ville v. AU                Maryville wins 30 - 14
Ferrum v. CNU            CNU wins its 1st outright championship 35 to 7.

Even though we already already own at least a share of the title, if you don't get to move on to the playoffs it ain't worth jack in my opinion. Lets go CNU!!!!
