petemcb,
Sorry I skipped about who I was chatting about I was in a hurry to get to PT ;, NP were the shooters I was referring to, I believe the last 2 shots taken by NP ,one bringing up the ball  for a 3 and a stolen inbounds pass for a 3 ;D
I'd really like to agree with you,but then we both would be wrong........

I've only had the chance to see one NPU game this summer, but the Vikings were really stroking it from downtown in that game. I think that the days when NPU perennially lagged behind the rest of the league in shooting percentage may be over.

But enough about Rob's team.  How's the varsity looking? ;D

Zach Freeman has signed with Hagen Phoenix, a team that plays in the second highest league in Germany.  They also just signed Melvin Hall, the leading scorer for Division II power Southern Indiana.

Best of luck to Zach!

Just wanted to drop a mention that CCIW alumni Ryan Knuppel is running an new interesting event for average joe athletes in the bloomington-normal area on August 4th, if you get a chance people should check out the website.  www.getawaygames.net    It is a one day challenge for teams of four in 5 sports, bowling, hot shots, HR derby, Texas holdem and Golf scramble.  Looks like a fun day and a day that most CCIW alums would probably love getting out there to do.  just thought i'd pass the word on.

Cool. Heard from Ryan about that some time back and was wondering how it was going.

That sure is a sinister looking man on the logo behind Melvin in his picture on that website.

The Getaway Games is going great the first ever event was held on June 16th and they had a turnout of 11 teams, the bloomington event already has 11 teams and still expect 5 to 6 more.  If anyone knows anyone who would be interested this is a great day that tests everyone's skill level in all sports and all ages can play 21 and older, because there are no events where you physically compete against another team, all individual based team events.  It's the perfect day for those ex athletes who although might be a little older now, still have those competitive juices that need to be taken care of.

I'm surprised that you didn't talk your former backcourt mate into making obstacle-course dribbling one of the events. ;)

Sorry, but my rooting interest remains with the Phoenix's crosstown rival, the Dasz.
