Lefty- There is also "The Brat Stop" which is located off of I-94 and Route 50.  I have been there many times and the food is very good.

For those interested, the Elmhurst/Millikin game will be aired on

88.7 FM WRSE   local radio

or

http://www.wrse.com      log onto the website then click the "Listen Live" button  and you should be able to get our broadcast.

Two tough road trips this week for the Jays and (while I don't they will) Elmhurst cannot overlook Millikin in anticipation for IWU.
"Separation" hmm,  I think it is more survival of the fittest because everybody can beat everybody and there is not 1 team that stands above the rest as untouchable.

I don't think you guys would fare too well with the trips to Western Massachusetts. :)

I've traveled quite a bit through Western Massachusetts - fairly hilly - for us "flat-landers" that could be a problem driving in winter weather.   ;D

But the double-round robin in the CCIW is just a wee bit tougher basketball over an entire season.

I have a question....I am going to be in Waukegan, IL next week and I am going to try to get to the Elmhurst @ Carthage game in Kenosha on Wednesday.  Every time I go to a new city/town I like to try the local food and since I am in Wisconsin I am thinking a good brat is in my future.  Can anyone from the area, or someone that knows the area, please let me know where I can get a good brat on my way to Kenosha or in Kenosha??  Or is there something else the area is known for?

Thanks!

Don't know if its still there - but the Brat Stop on Route 50 always had good food and circuses.

I'll second that.  Some "interesting" Wisconsin-type, cheese-based souvenirs are available for sale on the right side as you enter.  Plenty of tv's hanging from the ceiling with ESPN going all the time.  Live bands (some pretty good) on the weekends.  Well-known regional highlight.

If so, doubt I'll be listening in.  More than likely I'll be diggin' out 3 driveways.    :(

I'm curious about either the IWU @ NCC game or the Wheaton @ Carthage game.  Any info appreciated.  Good luck with those roads, Bob.

Men's basketball game postponed

06 Feb 2008
The men's basketball game between Augustana and North Park, which was scheduled for Wednesday, February 6, has been postponed. It will be made up on Thursday, February, 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Carver PE Center. There will not be a junior varsity game.

I am determined to be wise, but this was beyond me.

Weather.com says Kenosha will get 12-18 inches of heavy snow between now and this evening.  Winds up to 35 mph.  Snow drifts from 2 to 5 feet and more by the lake.  Doesn't sound good for that game, either.

As soon as I got the driveway shoveled and windows cleared off, I'd be outta here!

Thanks, gents; posting these announcements is quite helpful to me, and I appreciate it.  :)

Good luck digging out of it.
