Mr. Ypsi

Thanks to skafkas, thundermike, and dennis for the info on the conference winning streak - +k to all of you.

Both games are on streaming video via D3.com on internet. Wetn is only doing the wheaton game.

Just a heads up. Heck of a game going on between Syracuse and Uconn on ESPN. Just getting ready to start the 5th overtime tied at 104.

I just picked up another link from the Facebook group for the Wheaton team.  Let's get ready for some big time basketball games!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVpibLR667I

I also hear that someone bought a lot of tickets. Someone who was standing 7th in line to get tickets for myself and a couple other people was told that Wheaton had about 105 tickets to sell, and that they would be limiting the amount of tickets to be sold to one individual. By the time the 6th person got up to purchase, they had already sold out of the tickets.

I'm not sure what really happened, but I am disappointed if there really were 105 tickets at 2 pm and someone bought the majority of those tickets.

Now that it appears as if I will not be able to attend the games, does anyone know if WETN will broadcast both games on the local TV station in the Wheaton area?

What happened to the rules of honesty and fairness?  I can see people buying tickets for their flock of friends going to the game together but this smells.  Are we to good to wait in a line?  I didn't know congress members were coming to the game.  Unless someone is bringing 100 crippled orphans to a game.  Here's a thought.  How about waiting in line like the rest of us.

Nice promo! I love the move by K-Ray starting at 0:51. Not so sure I'm buying the fact that it is merely the best basketball outside of Salem though. I have a hard time believing Salem will even be able to come close to what is going to be showcased on the court at King Arena these next two evenings.

I could have this wrong but I heard one person bought a large block of tickets Thursday afternoon.  When Wheaton opened the doors to sell tickets at 2 today one person bought all the available tickets when he got to the ticket counter.  I don't know why some one would do this...is there that big of a market for this game?

I guess ticket scalping has become a profitable venture for D3 Hoops. I suppose if I was trying to buy a ticket at the last minute, I would be willing to dish out a lot more than 7 bucks though. I just never would have thought Wheaton would be leading the entrepreneurial charge in this area. You would also think they would have checks in place to prevent this sort of activity, especially if they said they were going to limit the number of tickets per individual beforehand.

Strange that Wheaton didn't have a ticket limit.  At UWSP, which is a munch larger gym, postseason tickets are 4 per person max.  If you want 105 tickets, you better have 27 people in line.

Looks like I'll be going to King Arena tonight after all, thanks to Jim Matson. I'm really looking forward to it -- all of the evidence indicates that there will be four Final-Four-caliber teams in the house tonight.

Maybe he wanted to be sure the game wouldn't be blacked out within a 50 mile radius. ;D

I heard he/she was wearing Wash U colors.   ;)

The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Glad Sager got his ticket. I was told by the Wash U. contact that they (WU) were limiting alums to 4 tickets, so I'm not sure what happened yesterday afternoon at Wheaton. I'm sorry I didn't reserve two extras for those who got shut out. Who'd have guessed there would be scalpers for a DIII Sweet 16 game.

Anyone who really wants to meet me / talk to me / laugh at me / punch me in the face will be able to readily identify me by the fact that I'll probably be the only guy in the building wearing a blue Buffalo Bills hoodie.

If the temps are anything like last weekend at St. Thomas, you better hope you have a t-shirt or another readily identifiable shirt on underneath that hoodie.  :D
