One other comment from the game on Saturday against IWU,  I was amazed how "buffed" the Titans were.  I know Bob said they put the effort in during the offseason but I can't recall a D3 team that had a starting group that was as impressive in terms of their physical makeup.  You bring in Chris Jones off the bench and you have another player who can pound underneath.  Can't help but think this will really help them on their run through the tourney.

Way to go Park! Can't wait to check out the next game at the ole Crackerbox.

IWU, and anyone that beats IWU (NCC), has a nice tie to the DI top 15 --

Illinois Wesleyan 81
St. Xavier 61
(11/28)

St. Xavier 74
Illinois-Chicago 73
(11/23)

Illinois-Chicago 73
Georgia Tech 51
(11/25)

Georgia Tech 60
#11 Boston College 58
(today)

Comparative scores are always useful.  Take a case from D3 football this past season involving National Champion Mount Union.

Mount Union 70 John Carroll 0
John Carroll 50 Ohio Northern 25
Ohio Northern 21 Mount Union 14

So Mount Union would beat Mount Union by 102.  Might need an adjustment depending on which is the home team.

on the plus side, I got to see mt union lose this year... in basketball  :'(

Nice to see an NPU conference win so early in the season, especially in an away game.  7 turnovers is something for this young Viking team to be very proud of, considering their previous turnover numbers.  Perhaps they are showing glimpses of the team that could be in the next couple years.  Hopefully this isn't the only conference road win for the Vikes this year, but it sure is a nice one to have under the belt.  They're already a step ahead of the '04-'05 Vikings in the conference wins category!

The next road game for the Vikes is another one that could potentially be "a nice one to have under the belt" as far as conference road wins go. In fact, "nice" doesn't even begin to describe it. Said NPU road game takes place on Saturday in the DuPage County lair of a certain CCIW team that favors the color orange. ;)

Saturday, just as NP students (at least those who live in on-campus apartments) begin to arrive back at school.  Brilliant scheduling by the former crusaders.  I still have faith that a few crazies will figure out what an important game it has the potential to be and head out west.

This Millikin road win makes me much more excited for the 1 NP game I will be able to attend this year, Jan 28th against, none other than the Big Blue, hopefully North Park can sweep them this year!

The amazing thing is I also may have a chance to get to the atrocious gym of NCC for the game against IWU that next Wednesday!

What a pair of games those would be to see.

Is anyone planning on going to the Augie/Wheaton game tomorrow night? Does anyone have any idea of how the two teams match up? April, where are you these days? Good job by North Park to get a win against Millikin.

If augie doesn't win that game, I'm accusing Wheaton of having purposely thrown their whole pre-Christmas schedule.

New top 25 is out.  Elmhurst drops out deservingly so.  But look at these CCIW rankings:

IWU #5
Augie #10
North Central #12

Very impressive from one conference.
Go Elmhurst!
