I think Augie proved that they are the front-runner by a great win at the Shirk tonight.  They still have a big game on Sunday in Elmhurst.

IWU did a great job hanging with Harrigan on defense.  McAdams-Thorton was great at the end of the game hitting some nice long jumpers and that huge three.

Great win by Augie Tonight, they played so tough with no let down at the end. I only caught the last 10 minutes of the game and now it's back to bed. Great job Q. I really enjoyed being able to watch and listen to the game.

So much for gut hunches!  When the Titans were up 13 in the second half, I was feelin' pretty smug, but final score: Augie 57, IWU 54.

I agree Titan Q was great. A tough one for any team to lose, but Augie lost their share of these nail bitters in the Carstens/Clements era, so maybe it's our turn to win the close ones.

It sure was great to watch and listen to the game from home.  I thought Q did a great job as well and I hope that they do more of these webcasts in the near future.

Last I heard was that NCC was up 6, but I didn't know how much time was left.

Awesome win tonight by Augie against a very tough IWU team.  First off...great job tonight by Jay McAdams-Thornton.  With Harrigan scoring like crazy all year, he hasn't gotten as much credit as he deserves all year.

Gotta give the IWU defense some credit for stopping Harrigan most of the night.

The Augie defense was just great tonight.  They played extremely hard all night and deserved this win.  I thought IWU was going to get this win when Augie couldn't seem to grab a defensive rebound but somehow we pulled it out.

Congrats to all the Augie players and coaches on a huge win.

Also, Elmhurst just clawed back and forced OT vs. NCC

I wouldn't start worrying about not getting respect.  I think the Vikings have been getting their due respect all along.  This win is obviously big but I don't think us Augie fans should talk about not having respect in the past.

Carthage 90
NPU 63

Carthage led by 12 at the half, and spent the second stanza pulling away. Brett Mathisen led NPU with 22; Jay Alexander had 12 points, and Devin Burnett added 11. Kyle Jeffery had another big game for the hosts, scoring 30. Malik Imani chipped in 17 points, and Mark Morrison came off the bench to score 11.

Carthage shot 59% from the field for the game, including a whopping 14-26 from three-point range.
