Naperick

Naperick

I caught the 2nd half of the NCC-Augie game.  I can't improve on AndOne's game summary and will not try.  But I will say that it was a great atmosphere in the 2nd half in Merner fieldhouse.

Kudos to the Augie fans for traveling 2.5 hours east on the Reagan Memorial Tollway for a good but strange basketball game.

It's incredibly sad what happened early Saturday morning in Naperville.  That triple stabbing will probably cause some changes in downtown Naperville.  It's just awful and senseless.

The Bosko Tree......wasn't that a U2 album a while ago?  ;)

Who could forget such timeless classics as...

- Where the Streets Have Cheese Shops and Adult Video Stores

- I Still Haven't Found Raul Guzman

- With or Without Steve

- Red Men Hooping Town

Bet you'd like to forget the best song on that album, "One-Trey Hilton". ;)

I hate when Hilton jacks threes.

How about

- Beautiful Day (live beating of North Park)

I liked U2 much more before the Joshua Tree.  I always thought they got worse as they got more successful.

And the Alarm was great too...

Augie and Wheaton still ranked in the top 25, IWU drops to 26th.  NCC now getting some votes.  Sure would be nice to get 2-3 teams in the Dance this year, with all these great teams performing so well.  Four games to go and ALOT of meaningful basketball yet to be played.  Hope this is the week that NCC goes down twice.

Completely agree.  Saw U2 and the Alarm several times in 1983-84 at the Aragon Ballroom.  Awesome!

Congrats to Carthage's Malcom Kelly on CCIW Player of the Week.

Playing NPU seems to be the golden ticket for winning the Player of the Week award. Three of the five times it's been handed out during the CCIW season, it's been given to a player who particularly shined that week against the Vikings.

If I'm Bryant Voiles, I'm licking my chops right now -- because he knows that NPU plays Millikin on Saturday, and nobody from Millikin is going to win the Player of the Week award.

I'm hoping this is the week that someone from IWU and/or WC has a big week/games, and that the two teams put losses on NCC.  Need to tighten up the race, or NCC runs clear.  Big game tonight @The Shirk.

GO TITANS!!!

Good games tonight.  Technology (internet streaming) and CCIW basketball.  They make the winter tolerable.
