Ahhhh, my distant hope realized.  3 CCIW teams get bids.  Augie sitting home.   :)  Gotta love it.  Congrats to all three CCIW programs, coaches and players.  Now, agreed, let's make some noise there.  Some tough matchups no doubt.  No easy nights out from this point onwards, just like the CCIW at home and on the road.  I'm sorry NCC didn't get to host.

Wonder if Q's or d3hoops.com's bracketology was closer to the mark.  Key thing, bubble never burst for IWU.

Congrats to Coach Rose and the Titans.  Zimmer lives to shoot another day!  Pointers and WIAC teams always tough, but lets go get them!

Mr. Ypsi

The good news: Pat nailed it - IWU in, Lake Forest out.

The bad news: Pat nailed it - first round UWSP; IF we survive that, second round AT Hope.

It will be VERY hard to make it very far in the tourney, but we'll make it farther than if we didn't get in at all! 8-)

Congratulations to the three CCIW teams into NCAA Tournament.

See Pool C board.  I missed 4...D3hoops.com only missed 2.

Three pretty strong Division III programs in Holland, Michigan this weekend - Hope, UW-Stevens Point, Illinois Wesleyan.

Good luck, Titans!

Just discussing the history in the Hope bracket, too.  Weather outlook not too bad so far for Holland, MI area this weekend. And yes, we are making the trip.

I'm planning the trip, also.  Do we know times yet?

Would like to get Bosma, Holstege, Crabtree, Simich and the boys together for some type of preliminary game Friday evening -- let's play that game that should have been in 1996.

Hope's website says games are tentatively at 5:30 and 7:30 on Friday, and 7:00 on Saturday.  Ticket info will be announced on Tuesday, and you can bet it will be a full house.

Now that would be fun!

Ypsi, looks like a great matchup IWU-SP.  They are 20-7, IWU 19-7.  SP has lost 3 of their last 4 games.  They will be tough, Hope even tougher.  But, gotta play your best basketball now and get on a roll.  IWU did not play well vs. WC in the CCIW semis.  Hope we can get it back on track, get on a roll.

Happy 3 CCIW teams got in.

Very winnable first round matchup for IWU.  Tyler Tillema is out for the season for UW-Stevens Point and it has really showed in their last few games without him.  They aren't playing like the same team they were earlier this year.

iwu70

AugieSuper, I agree with you.  Looks like a winnable game for IWU, to get them started on a good role, back to their style of play, good D and pushing the ball, kicking out to shooters.  We'll see.

Hope will be very tough at home, but heh, why not go for it.

CCIWFAN6

These tournament matchups very often come down to the hottest team coming into the game, not necessarily the most taletned.  While I wouldn't say IWU is hot, it seems like SP is limping in.

TitansIWU

Zimmer needs 8 3 pointers to tie, and 9 3 pointers to be the all time IWU career leader outright.

Contacted Hope this morning; tickets go on sale Wed at 10am to general public with priority first to "those standing in line"; IWU athletic department should have some info later today or early tomorrow about tickets. I'm assuming NCAA ticket allocation policy will apply as in past years.
