pg04, why don't you change your handle to "refined" or "on toward perfection" or something just now?  Just sayin!   :)  Hope you are back and can stay back.  Pat has his ways, right?

The board has been pretty "refined" this year, for the most part.

Looking forward to the Double Happiness Final Four weekend . . . a great time to be a Green Weenie supporter and fan.

Yeah, whatever it is that I remember or happened was like 8 years ago so my brain has either blocked it out or forgotten completely.

This is the first time I've posted on this specific board and it was only due to the "old posters" conversation ( a week long).  Carry on with Final 4 euphoria  :P

Hey Titan fans-I think I might have gotten an omen about your chances in Salem. I'm sitting in my car waiting for my daughter to finish practice. I look up and see the car in front of me with an IWU sticker across the back window. What are the odds that I would see that this week? Maybe a sign of good things ahead for you weenie fans? ;) ;D ;D ;D

Let's just assume for a second that omens exist. What are the odds that the being responsible for sending omens to people would send a North Central fan an omen about IWU?

I'm speechless - may be the absentone (GS) can comment on this.
I am determined to be wise, but this was beyond me.

568 people watched a Sectional final on a neutral site Saturday at Wooster.

They aren't happening.

That's pretty good.  When Stevens Point and Lawrence played in the 2004 sectional out in Tacoma, WA, they had 245.  Point beat host Puget Sound the night before.

Before Basketball takes center stage-an amazing finish in the men's 400 meters at nationals: Dan Benton (NCC) edges Kevin Cunningham (McMurray) by a time of 48.004 to 48.006. What a race! Back to bball.

I would love to see a photo of that finish.  It doesn't get much closer than that.  Congrats to Benton on his national title in the 400, along with the 4 X 400 meter relay, and Winder in the pole vault!

Congrats to the team on their 3rd straight national title!  A great accomplishment!

It was a great finish to his amazing career. He has used all of his eligibility with the conclusion of the indoor season. It was fun to watch him race. And I understand he is one of the nicest guys around.

Ron Rose interview from the WJBC morning show today...

http://wjbc.com/titan-men-women-share-final-four-stage/

He reminds me so much of Dave Coulier from the TV show Full House.

It sometimes makes me feel like Uncle Joey is coaching the Titans.

He has done a really good job right from the start. It's one of those jobs that if you don't do really well, you can't help but be compared to your predecessors.

I would say he is on the right track to making a big name for himself!

Have a look... http://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/dave-coulier/photos/146273#82287

I can see it.  I guess that would make Coach Sodemann Uncle Jesse.

I tried to think of a Full House character Coach Stein could be, but I just don't think they'd let him anywhere near a kids' show.

Every IWU fan I ran into at Wooster this past weekend that was at Hope said basically the same thing -- that the atmosphere at DeVos, and the fans, were just amazing.  Each in some way said it was the best Division III atmosphere they've ever seen.

I'll agree with that.  (And while no one else would be able to tell at that distance, I did spot myself several times in the clip! ;D)
