Wow, nice tweet pic of the Salem Civic Center -- sure looks like it has been renovated, repainted, and made much nicer than before.  Road to Salem complete for four great teams.  Good luck to the Titans this weekend.

Enjoyed the pieces on Eliud and on Coach Stein . . .

Spring is springing . . . IWU softball and baseball and tennis off to good starts in Florida and Tennessee.  More good stuff to come later this Spring.  Lovely warm day in B/N today, almost 80 degrees.

GO TITANS!!!

Hey Titan fans-I think I might have gotten an omen about your chances in Salem. I'm sitting in my car waiting for my daughter to finish practice. I look up and see the car in front of me with an IWU sticker across the back window. What are the odds that I would see that this week? Maybe a sign of good things ahead for you weenie fans? ;) ;D ;D ;D

I'm speechless - may be the absentone (GS) can comment on this.

Why would I?

I've been away from the computer, and outside enjoying this fantastic weather ... as any sane Chicagoan should be.

On here we thought you were "green" with envy.  It has been particularly beautiful in Chicago this week.  They finally got the air-conditioning working in my office - brought the temp down below 80 degrees.
I am determined to be wise, but this was beyond me.

I wish ours worked. I have 38 kids crammed into a room with no windows. Like an oven in there!

Seems like a very nice young man, makes me want to see them win even more, if that is possible.

The National Association Of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has named North Central College Head Coach Todd Raridon as the Midwest District Coach Of The Year.

Tim McCrary of Wheaton and Jordan Zimmer of IWU were named to the 1st team, and NCC's Derek Raridon to the 2nd team.
The NABC names only a 1st and 2nd team per district.
Congrats to Coach Raridon and to Tim, Jordan, and Derek.

... That said, I should have about 10,000 posts, but a lot of times, mine approach page-, if not chapter-length!

We were fantastic yesterday, and supposed to be again tomorrow, but this evening things got ugly.  Tornado in Dexter (about 20 miles west), major flooding and other damage in Ann Arbor.  No word yet on any casualties.

I unplugged my computer for several hours, but we missed the worst of it - probably about two inches of rain and lots of lightning, but no wind at Mr. Ypsi's location.

Glad to see you, Mr. Y!  I was checking the weather for Holland and saw the Dexter tornado pictures.  Stay safe.

Thanks for the good wishes.  Seems to be all but over for this evening (just occasional light rain; still no wind).
